Advantages: good coverage and blends well
Disadvantages: packaging can be decieving, foundation is a bit runny.
I haven't come across many foundations which are to my satisfaction! This one is I think, about as close as I am going to get without spending the earth for it.
This Super Wear Long Lasting Foundation, bit of a mouthful, comes in 6 different shades. Them being Soft Ivory, Caramel, Honey, Fair, Natural and Biscuit. I use the soft ivory one so if you have don't have pale skin this may not help in the slightest. Also, don't believe the stuff about putting a bit on your hand, it's best for you to judge for yourself without doing skin samples.
The foundation cost me £4.99 which considering I don't think is too bad. You may be like other family members of mine however, who raised a few eyebrows at this. It appareantly contains 30ml and comes in a navy blue, plastic cyclinder packaging!
One of the problems I see with this is that as the packaging is blue and quite solid, there is no way of knowing how much is left. Even when you shake it you can't hear the foundation inside moving about which I find is a bit annoying as the last thing I want in the morning is to have an empty bottle on my hands.
When you take the lid off you can see that to get the foundation out it has a little pump type thing. Bad description I know. When you push the top of it down the make up comes out of a small hole on the side!
It does come out a bit too quickly for my liking so you do have to go careful. You will waste if you are too heavy handed.
When applying it I find the wedge sponge things the most useful. Not the circular or square ones. You can use one of those professional brushes however which I believe work just as well.
This is not a product which lasts for very long. Due to the wear and tear of day to day life it leaves your skin looking a bit patchy and dry. Almost as if your skin is shredding! However, I have found that using the boots 17 face powder is stays in place for longer.
Although the foundation is good for the money you pay, if you're somebody who wants your face to look perfect by the end of the evening then don't bother. I see it as make up for the day time rather than a night out. It provides good coverage and can easily be blended in without giving tide marks.
At least worth a shot, especially if you have not found the right make up that suits your skins needs.
