Sticky icky lips! (Boots 17 Ultimate Volume Lip Gloss)

Advantages: Cheap, nice colours

After trying one or two of Boots own make up range '17' I decided I would try another as most seemed to be of fairly good quality but meant I wouldnt have to spend so many of my well earned pounds on it. After scouring the aisle I found the lipglosses, this mainly caught my attention because of the wide range of colours they had. Some im not sure people would actually wear as they seemed rather bright and bold and rather child like, however I eventually found a nice neutral colour which I liked the look of as it had what seemed like a shimmer to it.

The packaging is rather basic with this product however this doesnt bother me too much. The majority of the tube is a clear plastic but this makes it easy for you to see the colour and how much is left. The lid is a simple screw on with a navy blue colour, rather basic and boring. The lid like always has the applicator attached to it and on the end is the little sponge.

As I began openign this product I was slightly concerned that the lipgloss on the end seemed quite gloopy and theres nothing worst to me then sticky lips after using lipgloss! I wiped of some of the excess and began applying it. It was quite thick and it felt tack when I put my lips together which wasnt very nice. However I did really like the colour and the shine it gave my lips, and so kept it on for the rest of the day. After a few hours the stickiness seemed to have gone unfortunaley though when I looked in the mirror it was because most of the lipgloss had gone yet it seemed to have left behind a trace of the colour and shimmer this made my lips look dry and horrible!

Unfotunaley this is one product from 17 I wont be buying again!

Summary: i'll try another brand!
