Advantages: cheap

Disadvantages: clumps

I have not always been one to wear make up, and even now when I do use it, I hardly clark myself in it! Now I will admit I tend to go for the more expensive brands, not sure why, but when I first stepped into the world of cosmetics I opted to try cheap brands. So, I found myself heading into Boots!

Boots have their own range of make up, called Natural Collection. The products look quite dull but have a good price tag! When I was browsing the shelf that stocked these items I discoverd the mascaras. There were alsorts, some to make your eye lashes longer, some to make them look thicker, and then the one I bought - the waterproof one.

The bottle of the waterproof was just like the rest, plain white with the Natural Collection flower-like logo on it. I found this a little dull as I could not easily identify it and had to double check I had picked up the right one then after. I paid for the bottle, which cost me £1.50. This was not a bad price at all, as it was a fair size. But would it be any good?

I took the mascara home and when I arrived I tried it out there and then. I unscrewed the top and pulled out the wand. It was quite long and the brush was quite chunky. The mascara was a deep black and seemed quite tarry! I swept it over my eye lashes, to find I was left with a few clumps. Though it did apply quite easily and was quite dark!

I tried my best to remove the clumps, and found that the mascara still did remain on my eye lashes, just! I left it at that, and when I returned home after going out a few hours later, I found I could still see it, but only slightly.

It was definitely worth the £1.50, but as I wear mascara more often now I have moved onto longer lasting, less clumpy brands! For a first time user or somebody who rarely wears make up, this is a great mascara to go for! It is available in Boots only though, which is a disadvantage if you are not near one!

There is a 3 for 2 on the Natural Collection so ifyou quite like the brand then it is a good way to stock up! They have some nice products so it is worth a look!
