Advantages: Good coverage

Disadvantages: Can over-cover

I really don't like using cover-up, but something it's necessary to try and hide a horrible spot.  It's make-up for emergencies only and lives at the bottom of my make-up bag, therefore one stick lasts literally years.

Although I don't really like the stuff sometimes it can be a bit of a life saver.  It's for those difficult spot situations where just foundation and powder is not enough.  So a cover-up stick with what is really extra thick foundation is needed.  This cover-up stick is basically like a lipstick in packaging appearance, winding up and down, texture and even smell, plus it can be applied directly to the skin.  Sometimes I apply directly, other times I apply onto my finger first and then smooth the cover-up into the "problem area" with my finger, all depends on the severity of the situation!

Boots Natural Collection cover up is available in a variety of tones, I have to use the lightest one, and even then in the winter I find it can be a little dark if I use too much.  I do find this cover-up covers up very well and the texture of the cover-up is very smooth and easy to apply, although I also think there is a fine line between covering a spot up or looking like you have tried too hard to cover it up and drawing even more attention to the spot.  I like to cover-up and have it look as natural as possible, although sometimes easier said than done.

I don't find this cover-up makes my spot I have applied it to any worse, which is good, because I do feel some make ups can aggravate spots further.  It also washes off easily with facial wash and water.

At £1.99 I don't think you can really go wrong with this cover-up stick.  It seems to work as well as any other more expensive brands I have tried.  I wish I didn't need it, but until I never get another zit then this will be a must-have for the bottom of my make-up bag for those desperate situations.

Summary: A necessary for a bad spot day
