Advantages: Cheap and cheerful!
Disadvantages: Its not long lasting and packaging is cheap
I originally came across this product when I was skint a few months back and there was an offer on in Boots. Buy 3 Natural Collection products for £5.00 and I needed some pressed powder and I thought that alone would cost me over £5.00 so I thought hmmmm I'll have a go at this, got some loose powder this duo eyeshadow and a mascara. I'll do reviews on the other products at some point I'm sure! Being called Natural Collection I liked the idea of it so off i went lol
The Packaging...
Well mine is the duo pot (meaning two of course lol) and they also do solo eye shadows. Mine that I'm reviewing is Apple and Frost. Its round, has a white plastic base a clear plastic screw on lid with natural collection wrote on the lid. The base tells me the weight of my product which is 5g in this instance and its fragrance free. I Was concerned that it didn't say hypo allergenic like most eye products do because I have sensitive eyes.
My experience...
Its not bad. The one colour is darker than other (obviously lol) and that's made for bottom of eyelid and the lighter colour is for top of lid and/or highlighting basically its up to you. I do like the fact that the colours go well together in all the duos. All the colours I've tried have flecks of glitter in them but not enough to flake all over your cheeks when you blink or anything that extreme lol. The colour doesn't spill off brushes as its a dryish powder and it applies easily, no mess or no fuss.
It doesn't last ages though! Beware! Don't stick it on for a night out without trying it out in the day time first!
For me its ok to wear for about 4 hours so great for nipping out and going out for meals and things but no good for clubbing and lets face it who wants to go clubbing or something and drunk trying to apply it trying to miss eyeliner and the likes?! lol I have tried to 'set it' with pressed powder and stuff but no can do.
The good thing about it is that it all just fades and doesn't go patchy as it disappears. Its doesn't irritate my eyes even though it doesn't say that its hypo allergenic. It comes off really easily with soap and water (if that's what you use) or wipes or cleanser and toner.
The colours are always changing and are quite modern and usually have offers on so appeal to the younger buyer. I wouldn't recommend this for a more 'mature' lady as I'm sure they'd not be best pleased with the quality.
You do get what you pay for but this isn't awful and its ok to wear sometimes, just be careful of them times lol
Currently in 5 shades, so not a lot of choice but at £1.99 you cant really complain lol
Summary: This is ok for £1.99!
