Great for daytime wear on a budget (Boots Natural Collection Duo Eye Shadows)
Member Name: cathsockhead
Advantages: Good price, nice colours Disadvantages: Grainy texture, doesn't last long
I have the Plum/Blossom version of this eyeshadow duo, which is a palish pink with a darker pinky purple. The darker shade turned out to be a bit more like burgundy once it was actually on, which wasn't quite what I wanted. This eyeshadow is just over £2 cheaper than the 17 Trio eyeshadows, and there doesn't seem to be much less powder for your money. While this product isn't rubbish, there is a noticeable difference in quality when it is compared with a similar product from the 17 range. The texture of the powder is a little grainy, which means that it doesn't go on very smoothly. The colour is even when applied, but you need to use quite a lot for it to show up. The colours could blend together a little more smoothly, but the shades do go well together. Once on, it tends to fade quite quickly. It does, however, just disappear, rather than leaving those awful crease lines. Summary: Wear it during the day for a nice subtle effect, but don't expect it to last long. |
