Advantages: good price, covers well, doesn't feel heavy
Disadvantages: none
I have several problems with makeup:
1. I hate the 'trowelled on' look
2. I have very sensitive skin (in that I'm normally allergic to products even for sensitive skin)
3. I don't want to feel it's so thick I feel like it's running off if I get hot (which I do walking to uni).
4. My skin is rather pale.
My sister uses this make of foundation, so when we were out shopping I went along to boots with her, to have a browse for a new type of foundation, since my previous one was a powder one and not great for my skin being so dry. I tried the same shade as my sister uses, and was quite surprised when it was far too dark for my skin because I didn't think we were that different skin tone wise! In the end, the palest shade (Porcelain) was the one that suited me.
This review is about the liquid colour foundation.
It comes in a clear bottle which stands on its top (a very good design in my opinion, no need to balance it in a cup to get the rest out!). It's a very simple package which is good, with the natural collection logo at the top of the bottle and "colour foundation" in the middle. It's a squeezy bottle which is good, and you don't have to be squeezing it for ages to get the last bits out because of how it stands up, so it all comes to the bottom.
It goes on very well and evenly so it doesn't end up looking odd when it's applied with a make up sponge. It doesn't feel thick when it goes on either which is good. It's easier to blend than some of the others that I have used so I would definately choose this one again.
The best part about this foundation is that it doesn't irritate my skin which is unusual! The bottle states that it is dermatologically tested, however I don't usually rely on that because as I said earlier in the review, even products for sensitive skin aren't so good!
This foundation is priced at a very reasonable £1.99

- 03/09/08 I can't fault this either, had been using Avon but grabbed some of this when I ran out and haven't looked back. Fantastic stuff and so cheap too! |
