Advantages: good choice of colours, cheap,

Disadvantages: n/a

I do spend quite a bit of time in Boots. Especially when it's raining and I'm unable to go home at that point in the day. Aside from the glasses section my next point of call is the Natural Collection make up stand. Generally I do only buy their nail varnish choices as they are the cheapest out of all of the available options.

I tend to go for the paler colours mainly because I can't go into my work placement office with a vampish red colour. Not without receiving comments about them. There is a wide variety to pick from, metallic purples and blues, deep pinks, bright reds or down to your neutral shades. So really you can have a different colour for any occassion!
My favourite one is winter moon, which is basically a very light silver shade.

These come in tiny jars which hold 8ml of varnish. Although they are small and don't really last all that long they will only set you back for about £1.36. Naturally prices will vary but when you are only paying such a small amount at Boots its got to be worth buying. Just to try them out.

It does say to apply two coats although I don't actually think that is necessary. With me these can stay non chipped for well over a week and that is just with one appliance. You should also shake it before use, if you listen carefully there will be a little clicking noise because of the tiny ball which is put inside each pot. If you don't hear it, it might be time to buy a new jar as usually this is when the varnish starts to get thick and unusable.

As the brush is small I find that it spreads a lot more easily over your nail than when you have the larger sizes. You don't overuse too much of it and it takes a shorter amount of time to dry. On saying that if you do happen to use too much run your fingernails under a cold running tap as that also drys them quicker.

Overall I really like these as they are simple and easy to use without becoming too messy over time. For such a cheap price they are worth the money and can come in handy if you are going away and don't have much space for make up.

Another of my top tips is, if you can see that the varnish has started to go thick and gloopy add a tiny amount of nail varnish remover to the jar. I'm not sure how but it restores it back to its rightful smooth texture without making it useless so you don't have to go out and buy some more.

For £1.36 you can't go wrong really. A cheap yet worthy product to use when you don't have the money for more expensive brands.
