Advantages: Cheap

Disadvantages: The Colour Is Too Light & Sheer.

As many of you may have guessed by now I am a HUGE make-up-a-holic and I do strive to try loads of differen products from accross many different ranges. Regardless of price I will attepmt to try it out as I often find the cheaper products are the best - not always but a lot of the time. I dont think Ive ever tried anything from the Natural Collection range before but as I love the other Boots own ranges so much I decided to road test a few items out a few weeks ago starting with this 'Natural Collection Solo Eyeshadow'. Which I mainly bought because Ive been trying to tone down my day make-up a bit lately and I thought a nice, plae colour like this would be perfect for that new look. Unfortunately I was a little bit wrong.

Useful Information:
Price: £1.69
Stockists: Boots & boots.com
Shades: Crushed Walnut, Chocolate, Sky (Blue), Light Pink & Sea Shell (Yellow). I personally own the Light Pink shade as I was looking for something natural/sheer and girly and this fit the bill on the day.

The packaging for these eyeshadows is exactly as it appears in the picture. They are a plain white and transparent design with the product name clearly displayed on the front. You can clearly see the colour through the lid so you know exactly what your buying straight away. The packaging isnt anything special at all but for the price I wasnt expecting anything else it simply serves its purpose and prevents the powder from being crushed or damaged in your make-up bag.

This particular eyeshadow is a pressed powder which I if anything prefer so it is much easier to apply with a brush or applicator - I find I waste way too much when I apply pressed powders with my fingers so that may be worth keeping in mind. The colour I have is very girly and quite pretty. It is a medium pink with a noticable shimmer to it but not so much it looks overly glittery just a very sheer and feminine colour. Getting a little on the brush I remember thinking it looks much lighter than I had first expected but I continued and was sadly disappointed.

When I applied this it went on SO sheer and natural you could barely see I had anything on my eyelids! Only the slight shimmer was visible on my eyelids with none of the light pink colour at all - I honestly dont think anyone would be able to tell you were wearing make-up with this one. I have tried wetting it slightly before I apply it but to be honest that doesnt really help much either. It does turn the colour slightly darker but it is still hardly noticable.

I know I wanted the natural look but this took that to the extreme I might as well not have worn any eyeshadow at all because this did not make a jot of difference to my appearance. I would say usually now how long it lasted but as this didnt really last at all I feel let down by this all over. I dont recommend it - maybe the darker shades will make more of an impact but Im not going to waste my money trying them out.

Thanks For Reading.
