Advantages: The colours are nice.

Disadvantages: It's far too pale and comes off after an hour or two

Although I tend to use Maybelline for all my base makeup as I have sensitive skin and struggle to find foundations that suit, I like to experiment with eye shadows and mascaras a lot. And as I needed to restock I decided to give the natural collection a go.

Packaging & Price

The Natural Collection eye shadows come in their own individual pot. These pots are white plastic and a clear plastic lid that screws on top. They are quite tiny, and hold just enough eye shadow. I found them great for taking on holiday as they take up so little room. The eye shadows are priced at £1.79 each and are often on the Boots '3 for 2' off. As the Natural Collection is a Boots' own brand this is the only place you can buy them. To be honest I wouldn't buy them again even if they were half the price!

The Product

The eye shadow comes in 5 shades:-

Sea Shell
Soft Pink
Sky
Milk Chocolate
Crushed Walnut

I decided to go with the Sky (a light powder blue), Soft Shell (a cream) and a Crushed Walnut (light brown with a slight sparkle) I got home and decided to give all three a trial run. The eye shadow doesn't really claim anything and they are just stated to be dermalogically tested and fragrance free.

I use a brush to apply my eye makeup and the noticed that the eye shadow goes on very lightly. For me this was far too light on all three colours and it didn't build up and deepen in colour and shade the more I put on. The best of the 3 was the Crushed Walnut. If you like just a hint of colour on your lids or a light daytime look, then these eye shadows would be ideal. But then it also wears off after a few hours which is no good to me. If the powder does manage to stay on your lid then after an hour or so it creases and smudges everywhere.

They are all very natural colours, a nice silky texture and feel very light and airy on your lids but are not any good in my opinion.
