Advantages: Great consistency, hides imperfections.
Disadvantages: Doesn't make me look five years younger!
With my 40th fast approaching my skin is unfortunately beginning to show signs of ageing in the form of lines on my forehead and brow - no crows feet as yet! So when I was given this as part of a large goodie bag from my sister on my 39th birthday in January I was indeed looking forward to the promises of an 'age rewind'.
- Price and Packaging -
This is £14.70 for a 30ml tube although there is currently a 3 for 2 offer on selected No7 items in Boots.
It comes in a black box with gold writing on, inside of which is a plastic bottle. It has a black lid which covers the push down dispenser.
The colour of the foundation can be seen through the transparent plastic and the dispenser is good for 'managing' the amount that you want to dispense, thereby not allowing for much waste.
- What do the manufacturers say about this foundation?-
~ Restores the skins appearance.
~ Making skin look five years younger in a moment!
~ Fine lines and imperfections are visibly reduced.
~ Skin's natural radiance is enhanced.
~ Fragrance free
~ Silky and lightweight.
~ SPF 15.
~ Moisturisers to keep your skin supple and radiant, without blocking pores.
- Guidance on how to use this -
It is suggested that you shake the bottle before using it. Dot a little where you need it most and blend smoothly with your fingers or a sponge, working downwards and outwards.
- My experience -
It has to be said that I was really looking forward to using this with it's promise of making my skin look 5 years younger in a moment!
The foundation has a lovely rich, quite thick consistency with a light fragrance to it. It is easily worked in to my ageing skin and blends very well with my skin tone. It does cover the imperfections in my skin tone and makes me look a tad healthier than I do without it!
This healthier looking skin doesn't last all day with this foundation. It generally fades after about 4 - 5 hours which isn't great if you don't want to or can't re-apply it.
- Different shades -
~ Ivory
~ Blonde
~ Buff
~ Almond
~ Tan
If you go on to boots.com there are small squares to show you the colour of each shade.
There's also a day and night cream available in the No7 Age Rewind range.
- Overall -
This is a good foundation in terms of coverage, providing the appearance of an even skin tone, hiding all of my imperfections.
The disappointing things about it are:
~ It doesn't last all day
~ It certainly doesn't make me look 5 years younger in a moment! I'd need more extreme measures to achieve this!!
Summary: A good foundation but doesn't rewind the clock for me!

- 30/07/09 Nice review - I'm sceptic of anything that says specifically to make us X years younger (unless it's a time machine!) imo the right kind of living, healthy food & enough exercise/movement are better in this! (I've seen results on people around me!!) Thing is to do them all, lol! |
