Advantages: Moisturising, great coverage
Disadvantages: None for me
Boots no 7 age rewind foundation
I bought this on a recent visit to Boots because I needed a new foundation for the winter- no sun tan left!
THE PROMISES...
Quite a big initial claim in that this promises that it's more than make up, with the back of the box telling me that I can face the world with a youthful appearance and no extreme measures. It apparently restores the skin's appearance making it look 5 years younger, with fine lines and imperfections being reduced and the skin's radiance being enhanced.
It is fragrance free with a SPF 15 to protect against the sun and has moisturisers to keep the skin supple.
HOW DOES IT DO THIS?
Big claims so how does it do it? There are apparently concentrated levels of No 7's anti ageing complex which works at improving the condition of skin.
PRODUCT AND PACKAGING...
The product comes in a box with all the information on the back and when I open up the box I find a plastic bottle with a pull on/off lid. The product has to be pumped out using the pump dispenser rather than me having to shake the bottle, so it's easier for me to actually use all of the product as I find that if I have to shake the bottle I don't get all of the stuff out. I tend to find that a couple of pumps does the trick.
The foundation itself is nice and creamy and when I apply it to my skin, it feels really moisturising but not at all cloying or heavy. It blends nicely with my skin and there is no flakiness after wearing it all day which sometimes happens if my skin is a bit dry.
USING IT...
Shake the bottle before use and dot a little where it's needed most. Because it blends so easily there is no need to apply too much of the product and really a little bit does go a long way. It suggests that the best places to dot the foundation is the cheeks, nose and chin, and I find that doing just this works best.
PRICE AND AVAILABILITY...
Available instore and online at www.boots.com, this costs £15 for 30ml. It is available in 5 colours: New ivory, Buff, Blonde, Almond, Tan. I have the almond one which is a good colour for my skin.
VERDICT...
I like this foundation. It gives great coverage and evens out my skin without being heavy and cloying. It is long lasting and if I apply it in the morning then it will still be there without being obvious by the end of the day and then with a normal make up remover it is easily removed.
Since a little goes a long way, it lasts a long time and so it's great value for money. Since using it, my skin feels soft and moisturised and whilst I wouldn't agree that I look 5 years younger, I will be buying this again, and would recommend it to anyone wanting a creamy moisturiser with natural and even coverage.
Thanks for reading.
