Boots no 7 Airbrush away

I was recently buying perfume in Boots and received a £5 voucher to spend on No 7 products; because I like the range and have plenty of make up at the moment, I decided on this which is a product I had not seen before.

--The Promises...--

The Primer promises that you can flaunt picture-perfect skin, which is certainly a great selling point. It will apparently reduce the appearance of all the signs of ageing instantly, smooth fine lines and wrinkles and put uneven skin tone and pores into soft focus. The results can be seen in just ten minutes and last for up to eight hours.

It has been designed to work with all foundations and moisturisers so at least it doesn't tell me that best results are to be achieved using a different foundation to the one I already have. The product is also hypo allergenic and suitable for all skin types including sensitive skin

--Product and Packaging...--

The primer comes packaged in a white box with all of the information and instructions on the back and sides. Inside I find the miracle worker itself- 30ml of the stuff in a white tube with a screw on/off lid and all the information again on the back of this.

When I unscrew the lid there is one of those pesky foil coverings which comes off with a bit of gentle persuasion. Unfortunately, the slightest pressure on the tube meant that some of the product squirted out so I had to use it immediately. The primer itself is white with a very faint floral kind of smell and feels very soft and creamy although not creamy like a moisturiser more a cross between a moisturiser and serum.

--How to use it...--

The product should be massaged over the face after cleansing and moisturising. I find that it is very easy to apply and doesn't feel at all greasy or heavy, just super smooth and light. It leaves no residue on the skin but rather is absorbed into the skin whilst still feeling as though there is something there ready for my foundation to cling to. I can't see any immediate effects to my skin but it does feel nice and moisturised.

After applying, there is nothing to say that foundation can't be immediately applied so I tend to apply my foundation straight after applying the primer. I was at first quite sceptical but have found that this really does make a difference to the ease of application and the finished result. Whilst wrinkles are still there the primer does provide a really good base for liquid and mineral foundation and leaves my skin looking really smooth

--Price and Availability...--

The product is available in Boots stores and online at www.boots.com and costs £19.50 for 30ml

--Verdict...--

This has certainly worked for me. It adds extra moisture to my skin and even if this is the only reason it works, then for me that's fine. It is easy to apply and leaves my skin smooth and ready for foundation, which tends to stay put for longer when I have used the product.

It's not especially cheap but a tube usually lasts me a couple of months so its worth the investment and is certainly one I will invest in again
Thanks for reading
