Advantages: Quality, reasonable price
Disadvantages: Wrong shades for me
Boots No7 Blemish Concealer comes in a range of shades which are supposed to match all skin tones. I find that none of them is suitable for me unless I use a good foundation cream over the top.
The shades available are extra fair, fair, medium and dark. The problem I have is that the fair shade is too dark for me and the extra fair is so light that I look a ghostlike if I use a lot of it.
There is nothing wrong with the product which comes in a tube like a lipstick and can be used to disguise spots, marks and other blemishes on the skin.
Boots No7 is a quality range at a reasonable price and this product does what it is supposed to do. It has hardly any fragrance and it's smooth and easy to apply.
Most people would probably find it excellent, but unfortunately, the shades are not right for me.
I have used a similar product made by Rimmel for years because the lighter shade suits my skin. I must admit that this is not as smooth and easy to rub in as the No7 one.
I used this product under my foundation so I was able to use it up by blending and adjusting the foundation, so it didn't go to waste.
However, I wouldn't buy this again because of shades available. I prefer Rimmel, or even the Body Shop version of this which seems to have the right shade for me.
The trouble with this type of product is that it has to be smooth to apply and unobtrusive on the skin and although Boots No7 Concealer is a quality product it is too noticeable on my skin without a lot of messing around to blend it in.
Basically, this is a great quality product at a reasonable price but may not suit all skin tones.
Summary: Does match all skin tones, needs blending with foundation if this is the case.
