Advantages: Soft bristles, professional looking, does the job
Disadvantages: Expensive and only has one use!
No 7 is a makeup brand sold at Boots. I have quite a love/hate relationship with No 7. I love being able to find inexpensive products at Boots without having to buy the top of the range products which I cannot afford! Despite their products being affordable I prefer my Benefit and Barry M products and am yet to find a no 7 branded cosmetic that I truly cannot live without.
Everyone who uses makeup needs some form of applicator brush for bronzer or blusher and I had around £4-5 left on a gift card from Boots so decided to buy a new applicator brush, the cheapest one I could find that looked half decent was the No 7 blusher brush.
The brush is around 10cm long meaning I can get a good grip on the black handle of the brush and makes application easier. It has a metallic bronze colour strip and the soft bristles originate from this. To look at the brush is simplistic and there is nothing girly or creative about the design but it looks sleek and professional.
The brush itself is quite small and although it is designed for blusher alone I like to use my applicator brushes for bronzer and blusher and this brush is too small to do so. For blusher alone the small brush does make it easier to apply blusher to your cheekbones to prevent you looking like a clown or a doll with rosy red cheeks!
The bristles are very soft which is what you want from an applicator but not so flimsy as to be unusable or difficult to use. The bristles don't fall out either which is what I have found with other brushes.
The brush is £11.50 from Boots which I think is rather expensive for a small brush especially as it doesn't have dual usage (can't be used for bronzer application). I would recommend buying applicator brushes from market stalls or independent beauty suppliers!
Summary: A blusher brush from Boots
