I always use face powder, ever since I read an interview with the founders of Ruby & Millie where they said that there was no point to wearing an expensive foundation if you didn't use powder as well. So I duly bought myself some powder and I noticed that there was a real difference in how long my make up lasted and also how fresh it looked.

I decided to try the Boots No7 Creme Touch face powder because I had a voucher for £5 off No7. The product costs £8.50 full price, so I felt that for £3.50 it was definitely a bargain. It comes in four different shades; translucent, fair bloom, candlelight and fair bloom.

The case is small and black with No7 written on the lid in gold writing, it is quite slimline and slips nicely into your handbag. You have to twist the lid to open it, inside there is a powder sponge.

I applied the powder with the sponge provided and was really impressed by how smoothly it applied, I didn't realise that the product was a creme and I don't know if I would have bought it had I realised, however when I saw how easily it applied, I would definitely buy it again.

I bought the translucent shade of powder and it looked completely natural on my face, it was absorbed well and didn't just sit on your face looking like you had applied talcum powder, it created a matte effect finish which lasts most of the day. The finished look was even and it provided a great base for blusher and eyeshadow.

As with all No7 make-up this product is hypoallergenic and it doesn't have a scent at all so it should be suitable for sensitive skin.

Overall, I was really impressed by this product, it was easy to apply and look great and natural and I will certainly be buying this again.
