Advantages: Fab price, lovely to blend eyeshadows.

Disadvantages: White bristles can look dirty quickly.

I had a spare Boots £5 voucher (since writing these reviews I have noticed that a lot of my make up purchases have originated from these!) so decided to invest in some more make up brushes. Over the years I have managed to collect a couple of lovely MAC make up brushes which work really well. However, as they are a little costly, I don't like taking them away with me on weekends or when getting ready in other people's houses for fear of losing them.

Hence, when I received the voucher I decided some cheaper brushes would be a good investment. As soon as I began eyeing up the brushes I immediately noticed this brush as it looked so similar to one of my MAC brushes (not sure of the number sorry), abeilt a smaller size.

The brush itself has a reasonable length handle, which I know seems like a little irrelevant, but I find that some are too big to fit in my make up bag. It is described as a 'blend and contour' brush, and this is exactly what this brush does! I'm no make up artist, and I may not ever use this brush correctly, but I find it fantastic for blending the edges of my eyeshadow so it fades rather than stops harshly. I also use it to apply a darker shadow to the crease of my eyes to add a little shade.

The bristles themselves are really soft and feel lovely when you apply the shadow. The end of the brush is also fairly rounded which I believe helps to blend the eyeshadow much better than my flat end brushes. The only downfall, and this is being very picky, is that the bristles are white so it can look grubby compared to my black bristled brushes. (try saying that tongue twister!) I've had the brush for about six months, and it hasn't been affected by cleaning at all. I tend to just swirl it in some baby shampoo in my hand then rinse gently.

I would recommend this brush for any make up lover! It cost £6.75 which is a fab price anyway, but with the Boots vouchers it costs only £1.75 which is an absoloute bargain. I'm not sure if professional make up artists would agree, but I believe that it is as good as my MAC brush and I would definately purchase some more of the No 7 range in the future.

Summary: A lovely brush to blend eyeshadows, and a reasonable price. Comparable to my MAC brushes.
