Advantages: This brush makes applying eyshadow easier.

Disadvantages: I wouldn't pay full price for it.

Introduction:

For some time now I have been meaning to get better at applying eyeshadow, more experimentative, use more colours and blend and contour! During certain time periods, when you shop at Boots and spend over five pounds on qualifying products (of which there is a very wide range) you receive a voucher for five pounds off your next No7 purchase. There is no qualifying spend. When I receive these vouchers I really do make the most of them. I had one in my hand and was browsing the No7 range when I spotted these brushes. They cost seven pounds and twenty five pence, but with the voucher I only had to pay just over two pounds for this brush.

Product and use:

The brush comes in a practical thick plastic case. It is perfect for protecting it whilst it is in my make up bag. The brush itself has a thick black handle which is nice and comfy to hold in your hand. The end of the brush is made up of loits of thin soft fibres. None of which have fallen out of my brush yet. The brush head is chunkier than I am used to, so it took some practise to make sure I was applying the right amount of powder to my eyes. My one top tip for this stage is to give the brush a really soft blow before you actually put the powder onto your eyes. This gets rid of any loose bits and avoids giving your eys that loose powdery look which looks less dramatic.

The brush not only feels good to use, as it is nice and soft on your eyes, but it applies the make up really easily too. Once you get used to the brushes dimensions it is easy to know where to apply what to get the desired effect. A few extra strokes of the brush between colours gives a really nice amount of blending, and turning the brush on its side allows for the finer details to be applied.

Conclusion:

I really like this brush, it does a great job, has helped me really improve my make up, and I got it for a bargain price. I am not sure how I would feel about it if I had to pay full price though. I would recommend regular washes to minimise germs and keep the brush in tip top condition. For these I use baby shampoo.

Summary: Bargain brush, especially with a No7 voucher!
