~No7 glitter eyeliners~
I was lucky enough to have been able to pick up 2 of these small sized glitter eyeliners which had been included in No7 gift sets, which I had duplicates of. I have used these eyeliners and found them really easy to handle as they are neat and compact with a simple twist on and off closure that you only need apply a light pressure on, in order to open and close the product container. The look of the eyeliner tubes that I have had in use is very simple and plain in my opinion, with the wonderful golden bronzed coloured eyeliner in the tubes I have being seen clearly through the clear plastic of the applicator tube.
~Price and ease of use~
I am not sure if the particular colour I have been using is still on sale although I do know that these metallic eyeliners are now on sale in store and on line for £8.75. I feel that this sale price is perhaps a little high based on the fact that you only get 3 mls of eyeliner in each tube, however as the 2 tubes I picked up have been in use for some time I feel that a little does seem to go a long way with these. The simple brush wand style applicator that also doubles as the lid of the tube has a small and neat brush attached to it that works well. I have found it is very easy to use the brush applicator to apply as little or as much if the eyeliner as I want, with minimal fuss, effort and no mess.
The eyeliner glides on really easily and I feel it gives a nice highlighted effect to evening make up when applied well. The eyeliner make up never seems to crack once fixed in place and in my experience it lasts for a good part of the day without fading too much at all. Over the course of a few hours you may need to go over the liner a little with a very light fresh top coat, so as to ensure the subtle metallic sparkle effect is looking its best. However even if you don't bother with a refresher coat I feel the more subtle faded look still looks nice even after a number of hours.
The brush end of the applicator wand is slim and well shaped so as to make it really quick and easy for me to apply some of the liner where I want it. I have used other colours in this range in the past and recall a metallic turquoise shade that was also rather pretty if not as easy to blend with other make up colours as the golden bronze liner that I have in use now. I feel that the cheapest way to buy these eyeliners is to wait for the usual Boots in store £5 off No7 voucher promos which always turn up every few months, as this cuts costs down to just £3.75 per eyeliner.
~Colour otions and product rating~
Newest colours are mojito, mocha and royal, which give a slight green, brown/ bronze and blue metallic glitter tone to each of the three colours when in use. I don't feel that they look as nice as the golden bronze shade I have in use but I may be tempted to try these at the reduced price in future as the texture of these eyeliners and their staying power once on your skin is rather good. My rating for these is 4 stars as I do like them and would buy from this range again. A cheaper alternative with more of a glitter effect would be some of the Collection 2000 Glam Crystals glitter eyeliners, which I feel work well too (although they look a lot more glittery on the skin).
