Advantages: Good colour selection, leaves lips moisturised

Disadvantages: Did not last long, had to constantly re-apply, expensive

Ok, So I have never got on very well with Lip-glosses in the past, I always tend to be left with sticky fingers and only one half of my lip coated, how knows what I do wrong! Anyway, when buying my latest Number 7 purchases of a blusher and foundation I was entitled to a free Number 7 goodie bag which contained a Number 7 High shine Lip Gloss (shade 'Hint') so I thought I wouuld give a lip gloss another go seeing as I always tend to go for a matt looking lipstick.

The lip glosss itself is 6ml in size and had a black lid with the colour of the gloss being shown in the clear plastic bottle. The shade name is on a sticker on the lid of the gloss which also bares the gold number 7 logo.

To apply the gloss is realativly easy as Number 7 have designed a brand new brush applicator, you un-screw the lid and remove the brush from the bottle which comes out coated in the gloss, you then need to apply directly onto your lips, couldn't be simpler??

I still struggled with this product, not in application but after brushing my lips together there was a disinct line of where the gloss had worn. Where the gloss had stayed put my lips looked great but where the gloss ahd worn it looked I had made a drunker mistake! I did persevere with the product nad have now worn it out a few times but I am still not a great fan of gloss.

The high shine product comes in 6 different shades and is made up of light reflecting pearls and a glossing agent that leaves your lips smooth and shiney. I must admit that my lips did feel in great condition when I was wearing the product and full of moisture. The product also has a SPF of 15 and vitamins B5 and E in it to help protect your lips.

To buy this product it will cost you £8.50 in Boots and will give 32 advantage card points. Like I said earlier I had this product free as part of a Number 7 gift set, I don't think I would pay full price for it because my experience with it was not totaly positive. I have tried wearing gloss over the top of my lipstick but again it just leaves my lips with patchy looking colour over them.

All in all, a good product, just a shame it did not last longer than an hour and I have to keep re-applying!

Summary: A gloss that left me a little disappointed
