Boots No7 High Shine Lip Gloss
Advantages: TASTE NICE, LOVELY COLOURS, LASTS WELL
Disadvantages: A BIT EXPENSIVE
No7 is a Boots exclusive cosmetics and skincare range which offers a wide selection of products as excellent prices and often runs special offers. They have a range of lipglosses called High Shine. These lipglosses have been created with a special glossing and light-reflecting pearls to give smooth and lustrous lips. The lipgloss also contains collagen boosting agents to give fuller lips and SPF15 to protect against the sun. In addition, the lipgloss has Provitamin B5 and Vitamin E to condition and moisturise lips.
High Shine Lipglosses come in a clear tube with a shiny silver lid. The main part of the tube has gold writing and has the brand name, product name and that it contains SPF15. No7 state on the tube *a collagen boosting, moisturising gloss that glides on for volumptuous smoothing shine. With vitamins that care and protect.* The tube also has information on how to contact Boots and that the tube can be recycled. On the lid there is a white label with the shade name, barcode and a notice advising that once opened, this gloss is fresh for 24months.
The lid screws off and you gentle pull the wand out of the tube. The wand is white and has a little brush applicator on the end for easy application.
The brush applicator is perfect for simple sweeping over your lips for shine. There is no messiness involved and your tube won't become sticky around the opening like the No7 Liplicious glosses.
At present No7 High Shine is available in 6 colours :
Glaze - I would say this is a mauve type shade
Smile - a purpley shade
Happy - quite bright pink shade
Lust - deep red/brown shade
Whisper - a lilac resemblence
Hint - white in appearance but goes on fairly clear.
*Price and Availability*
This range of lipglosses is available at www.boots.com or your local Boots store who stock No7. The retail price is £8.50 for a fullsize 8ml lipgloss. In the past and most recently, Boots offered a No7 giftset for free when you bought No7 products totally £22 or more. These sets occasionally include a No7 High Shine Gloss as well as 5 or 6 other products which is an excellent bargain! Also look out for 3 for 2 offers, £5 off vouchers etc and remember to collect your advantage card points as well!

I am a lipgloss or lipbalm sort of person..lipstick looks dry and scabby on me and I tend to avoid it like the plague! I like lipglosses that moisturise and give me a slight wet look and tend to go for clear glosses or those with minimal colours. This is what attracted me to No7 High Shine Lipgloss. My chosen shade was Hint. This is a white liquid which goes on clear with a slight shimmer.
I feel the gloss is quite basic in appearance but the gold writing gives it a bit of oomph in the quality market. I previously used the Liplicious range and found that the tubes got in some mess and you ended up wasting alot of the gloss but with the convenient application brush, you don't have that issue with High Shine glosses. The lipgloss is ideal for the summer as it contains SPF15 which protects your lips from the damaging sun rays (if we get any that is) just like sunlotion protects your skin.
After applying, my lips have the desired wetlook with a slight shine and are not at all sticky. The gloss tastes quite sweet and unlike alot I have tried, it is not off putting. Despite licking my lips countless times, the gloss was still apparent a good hour or 2 later and then I topped it up a bit.
At £8.50 for an 8ml tube it does seem excessive though I wait til the special offers are on and save myself money or blag extra bargains!! A little does go along way so it is good to know that you can use this for up to 24months but I tend to only use mine for a year maximum for my own personal hygeine issues.
I recommend this lipgloss though I would say it would be best having more shades available.
