I hardly ever wear make-up and as a teenager I always avoided foundation so when I did eventually decide to buy some I didn't have any idea what to buy, let alone what colour! My mum took me to Boots and after speaking to a lady at the No 7 counter she decided that this foundation would be ideal for me and I have used it ever since.

A tube of this foundation costs £15.25. There are three shades available light, medium and dark. The foundation comes in a black squeezy tube which contains 40ml of foundation.

I chose the light colour as I have fair skin.

The foundation is designed to adapt to your skin tone matching it and creating a sheer and natural looking finish. The foundation contains vitamins A and E to protect your skin and neutralise free radicals, as well as SPF 6. The foundation is also hypo-allergenic so it won't clog or block your pores.

When you unscrew the lid on the foundation the hole which the foundation comes out of is very small so when you squeeze the tube you only get a little out. I like this as you can always add more and it saves waste.

As the foundation is in a tube I apply it using my fingers. It does tell you on the instructions that you should apply it to well moisturised skin. When I use it I tend to cleanse and moisturise a good ten minutes or so before applying to give my moisturiser chance to sink in. The foundation comes out of the tube looking rather dark and this alarmed me at first however as I applied it I noticed that it covered any minor imperfections on my skin but didn't change the colour of my face. The foundation is easy to apply it has the consistency of a moisturiser. I would describe the coverage of this foundation as sheer to light, if I do have a blemish I have to use concealer as it doesn't cover everything. The foundation didn't cake on my skin like others I had tried too.

This foundation is long lasting. My skin is normally dry and I can sometimes have oily patches. My skin looked healthy and felt moisturised all day. The foundation was long lasting and it didn't slide off.

I would definately recommend this. It takes the guess work out of choosing the right foundation. It also protectes your skin from the sun.
