Advantages: good coverage, blends in well, easy to apply and remove

Disadvantages: can't see how much is left in the tube

My daughter recommended this foundation to me after she had struggled to find one which suited her for years until she came across this.
The foundation is a No7 foundation which means that it is exclusive to and can only be bought in Boots stores.
This foundation was a bit cheaper than it is now when I first tried it but it currently retails at £15.50 I often use a £5 off voucher or buy on 3 for 2 offers so it only work's out at about £10 for a 40ml tube.

The packaging
The product comes in a black box with gold writing on it. The tube is also black with gold writing, it looks good but you cannot see how much of the product is left in the tube and it is difficult to tell by the weight. The black lid pulls off easily to reveal a very small hole which is all you will need to squirt out the right amount of the product.
Does is work? Absolutely! After being disappointed with a different No7 foundation I wanted to try this before I spent my hard earned money on it. So my daughter told me to try hers, her skin isn't nearly as pale as mine and she had opted for the medium, whereas I would have chosen the light.
When I squirted the product out of the tube a small, very thick pasty substance appeared on my hand. I commented at the time how it would be far too dark, even for her as it was very dark like a light chocolate mousse. I carried on anyway and put in onto my face using my fingers and started rubbing it in.
I was absolutely amazed how far this tiny bit of thick foundation went, one tiny blob was enough for my whole face. It really glides on without any effort or the need of a sponge.

The product blended in fantastically and left my skin feeling soft and smooth and the dark product looked fine on my fair skin. The product claims to adjust to match your skin tone and don't ask me how but it really does. This same shade worked on both my fair skin and my daughters slightly darker skin. I felt that my skin could really breathe with this foundation on, I don't even feel the need to put any powder as it doesn't make my skin shiny and it provides good coverage whilst creating a natural look. My daughter uses a concealer and then this on her face and it covers the concealer perfectly.
It also looks fine if ever I get dry patches of skin, and feels moisturising and doesn't get a blotchy appearance like I have experienced with other products.
I found the foundation simple to remove with a wipe or soap and water and it didn't take any vigorous scrubbing or make up removal products.
My skin can be sensitive and I had no irritation after using this. It is hypo allergenic, but some which say this have left my skin irritated before. It also has the added bonus of having SPF 6 which adds a little bit of sun protection to your face.

At first I thought the fact that this only comes in three shades (light, medium and dark) was a negative, but seen as it really does seem to adjust to the tone of your skin I don't think there is really any need for more shades.
I have found this product has worked even better than foundations which have cost me over £30 and it is now the only foundation I would use. It is fine for a natural day look, and with a little eye shadow, blush and lippy looks great for a glam evening look too.

Summary: For me, an unbeatable foundation
