I am a huge fan of Boots no 7 range of cosmetics and think they are equally as good as the more expensive brands I have tried. I don't wear much make up as I really don't think it suits me! However I do use a foundation every day. I have tried numerous brands over the years but now think I have found the perfect foundation for me; Boots no 7 intelligent foundation.

The foundation comes in just 3 shades; light, medium and dark. Boots say that this foundation is designed to perfectly match your skin tone. I would advise you to try before you buy to ensure you get the right shade. I opted for the medium shade and it really does adjust to my skin tone perfectly! Unlike many other brands I have tried, this one is really light and glides onto my skin easily using my fingers. Once it is applied I really can't tell I am wearing foundation! I always use a moisturiser before applying foundation. It feels very smooth and silky when applied and doesn't cake. I am also pleased to report that this foundation doesn't clog pores.

The plastic toothpaste style tube has a twist off lid. The nozzle is small allowing the recommended amount of foundation to be squeezed from the tube. I find I only need a small amount to give me perfect coverage. In the summer I tend to use even less! The foundation contains vitamins A and E designed to help protect skin. It also has a SPF 6, although I always use a higher factor in the summer. I love the warm glow that this foundation gives my skin, making it look healthy and sun kissed without any hint of orange! Although this is a very light foundation, it does cover spots and uneven pores.

This foundation is available from all Boots stores and via their web site. It costs £15.50 for a 40 ml tube. I tend to wait for one of the many offers that Boots have before buying!
