Advantages: Gives a glossy look
Disadvantages: doesn't last long
My friend gave me a tube of this the other day to try out. I don't normally go for this sort of stuff and prefer a good old fashioned tin of Vaseline but I gave it a go anyway.
It comes in a small tube that is see through so you can see what colour you are about to pop onto your lips. When you unscrew the lid, there is a slanted plastic edge so you can apply it easily to your lips.
On squeezing the tube I took a detailed look at what came out by putting it onto myfinger first. I surprised to see that it looked like a clear liquid rather than the pink that I thought it would come out as. On looking closer I could see small specks of what looked like glitter or shimmery particles.
I applied some to my lips and although I got the same glossy look that you get with Vaseline, I could see the odd shimmer when the light caught the particles. I wasn't so keen on that because as the stuff rubbed off, it smeared over my face over time and it looked like I had rubbed gliter everywhere.
I really didn't like the feel of this stuff on my lips because it was quite thick and almost glued my lips together. It felt really heavy and uncomfortable but thankfully it didn't last long as it came off on everything.
All in all this is a lip gloss that I certainly wouldn't want to pay good money for and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
Summary: dont buy it
