Boots No7 Liplicious Lip Gloss
Advantages: Nice smell, makes your lips look massive
Disadvantages: Colour doesn't last, Sticky and overpriced.
Not one to wear lip-gloss myself but when I got this as a present I couldn't resist a try, to my suprise it (not!) I disliked it.
The tube does not specify the colour, I can only describe it as a light pinky peach , they are meant to be candy coloured but this doesn't look like any candy I know, The tube is around the size and shape of a pen, you apply the lip gloss by squeezing it through the applicator. I have seen the same one for around £6 in Boots.
The application is fairly easy because the hole is small and not too much gloss comes out which I find in other lipglosses, One coat does the job and two coats is a bit excessive, sometimes I get a odd time where I end up covered in gloss because I've squeezed to hard. The smell begins to come out after two minutes and it smells like cotton candy, If that's the candy they were trying for, the smells great but the colour is not at all cotton candy.
Well my problem with lip gloss is the shine, although the shine and light colour makes my lips look much fuller, they also looked chapped, no matter how hard I try after have minutes It looks like I've been dribbling and after ten, I've touched my lips and everything around me is far too sticky. The colour has also now disappeared, making it look like an expensive alternative to vaseline - but sticky and shiny.
In my opinion, I'm not a lip-gloss person, although I like the big lip effect, the shine tends to make my teeth look yellow and just doesn't suit me at all, The price seems way too much as well for a product that doesn't keep the colour it's intended. The only time I will wear lip-gloss is when they make one which isn't sticky.
Summary: A let down from a great make up brand.
