I am a great fan of the Boots No 7 range and think their nail colour is one of the best value nail polishes around.
Boots have recently revamped all their No7 products and they now come in very stylish looking packaging. Many No 7 products have also had a name change so you may well have to hunt to find a previous favourite!

The product
************
Boots nail colour now comes in a very stylish looking bottle. The design was changed to give a waist to the bottle that is supposed to make it easier to hold and I think the new design works well. The nail colour, as it is now called, comes in a glass 15 ml bottle with a black screw top lid. Open the bottle and you find a good length brush.
There are numerous different colours for you to choose from and I think you would be hard pushed not to find one that suited! I like the pink shades of which there are several. There is also a nail tip whitener.
The nail colour is easy to apply but I would recommend using a base coat first as this helps to give a good finish. The nail colour smells much like any other nail polish to me, not particularly pleasant I’m afraid.
The nail colour is thick and stays on the brush well. I find that I need to apply 2 coats to get a good even, glossy finish. The nail colour does not blob like some other brands I have tried and dries quickly.
I find that the nail colour stays on well and doesn’t chip too easily even though I often have my hands in water. It is usually about 3 days before I need to touch up the colour, which compares well to other brands.
Boots nail colour costs £6 for a 15 ml bottle. It is only available from Boots or www.wellbeing.com.

The pros
*******
I think Boots nail colour is as good as other much more expensive brands I’ve tried. I think it lasts well is easy to apply and looks good. There is a good range of great colours to choose from too.
Boots often have offers on their No 7 range and at present you get 500 extra advantage card points (worth £5) when you spend £15 or more on No 7. The nail colour is easy to remove when you need to and doesn’t leave your nails feeling brittle.

The cons
********
I think the only thing I don’t like is the smell but that is the same for all nail polishes!

Boots nail colour is hypo allergenic and like all nail polishes it is flammable.

I am a fan of most of the No7 range, including nail varnishes.

Nail varnish is one of the things I rarely buy. But I did see the No. 7 range recently in Inverness, and they looked good enough to eat. As I intend wearing a pair of mules some time over the summer, and tights and mules don't mix(!), I was thinking I at least need to pretty up my toe nails. No. 7 sounds just the job!

I've not tried this (yet!)
