“ Brand: Boots / Type: Blushers „
I always have to buy an item from the No 7 range when I have a £5 voucher off the original price because it saves me a lot of money. I bought this one using a voucher, just to try it and see if it was one I liked or not. To see if the blusher remained on the cheeks for a long time without having to add many applications during the day.
The blusher comes in a kind of disc shaped compact. It has a flip up lid, which is easy to clip back into place. It has a kind of transparent window on the lid so you can see the colour.
This blusher is a powder blusher and comes in a variety of colours to suit each skin tone, the one I bought was the Coral Flush, it is a nice pink colour and I chose this colour because I thought it would suit my pale skin much better than the other choices available. The other colours were a little paler in colour and so I chose a deeper one.
It is easy to just brush gently over the top of the powder using a blusher brush and just circulate the brush gently over the powder for a couple of seconds and then just tap the excess powder from the brush. I use a large blusher brush.
Then I just sweep the brush over my cheeks and towards my temples. The blusher is easy to blend into the skin over foundation. I use the blusher on days I don't wear make up or days when I need a little colour to my cheeks. I have very pale skin and this blusher just gives my skin a little more colour without it looking like I am a clown lol. You only need a small amount of the blusher to give a nice glow to the cheeks. Too much makes the cheeks appear too red and not natural looking and not a good look to the face. If you apply too much you can always just dab the cheeks with a cotton pad or ball and the powder can be removed onto the cotton pad without having to completely remove it and start all over again and waste the blusher amount used.
This blusher gives my cheeks a natural glow, it blends really well and not a messy powder. The quality is a really good one and it is very good value for money because you don't need too much of the blusher to colour the cheeks.
I think it does give a much better look when wearing it with foundation but it does the trick for wearing on bare skin too but I like the look much better wearing it with other make up.
It is one that can be worn for both daytime and evening. I have applied it for both times during the day and I think it is one which can be used any time of the day in my opinion. I would say it isn't a shiny glow and just a natural one, so if you are wanting a blusher which gives a sheen, then this one may not be so suitable. I like both a shiny glow and a natural one and I wear this one for days when I am wanting the natural look. I have worn it for an evening when I went to a restaurant for a meal with my family. In my opinion it did give my skin a nice look but I usually like to wear a cream blusher for parties because I do like my cheeks to look a little more glossy looking.
It contains a unique blend of micro fine powders which give a smoother feel to the skin. Also it contains pro vitamin B5 and vitamin E to help condition the skin.
The colour does last on the skin for a long time, it has staying power so you don't need to keep on applying more during the day. I find it gives a lasting colour for most of the day and if I want to go out at night time after applying it in the morning, I just brush a tiny amount onto my cheeks and it just adds a little more colour to my cheeks without it looking too heavy.
As we all know it is a good idea to experiment with a blusher when we first purchase it because that way we then know how much to apply the next time we apply it. This one I also experimented with the first time I tried it and found I needed only the small amount to give a good coverage over my cheeks and the correct amount of colour. I find less is more with this blusher.
At the end of the day it is easy to clean from the skin and I don't need to apply much of my cleanser when I wear it on bare skin.
It cost £8 but I only paid £3 because I had the £5 money off voucher. I think for just £3 it is extremely good value and it is still good value in my opinion for the full asking price and it is well worth the money in my opinion. Always wise to buy it with the voucher to save tons of money.
I am very happy with the way this one colours my cheeks, I will most definitely buy it again in the future using a voucher because it gives my cheeks a natural look and a look I like too and the amount I have to use to give this natural look. I am in my 50's and this one is more than suitable for my skin. It is ideal for any age group in my opinion. I also don't look like a 50 plus aged clown lol.
I highly do recommend this one and I don't think you would be disappointed in the way it gives the cheeks that natural colour.
Also on Ciao under my username pinky50.
I give this one 5 stars.
Thank you for reading my review and I hope it has been of some help.
=Boots No.7 Natural Blush Cheek Colour=
Boots has 3 ranges of Make-up, the No.7 range, which is the expensive range, No 17, which is mid-priced and Natural Collection the basic range.
=Packaging Has changed=
Some of the products within the range has changed design, and the blusher is one of these, but that does not change the quality of the contents.
=Price / Availability=
The price is around £8, but do keep an eye out for the £5 voucher, as they do make a good dent in the price. These are available from Boots stores as well on on=line, although there may be postal charges.
The colour I have is "Soft Damson", which is a pale plum colour, there are a wide range of other colours within the range.
The blusher comes in a palette and has a flip top which has a clear top that you can see what the colour is as well as the Gold coloured no 7 logo on it. Although there is no brush with this blusher.
=Easy to Use=
I use a larger blusher brush and use this, I find that the Blusher works well from the application process, to how it blends into the skin, you don't need to use much as I find a lot goes a long way.
I find that the blusher lasts about 5 or 6 hours, and even then it still looks like it has been freshly applied.
It is easy to remove, I use a wet wipe, if I have run out of make-up removers, and find that they remove the blusher easy.
=Would I recommend=
I would highly recommend the blusher, it is really good quality, easy to wear, and even better when there is a £5 voucher or a 3 4 2 offer which is regularly on.
I have used Boots No7's blush colour now for a few years, ever since I lived at home and used to steal some of my Mum's to use before nights out! I obviously buy it for myself now, costing around £8 for a palette. I usually wait until Boots offer those £3 (used to be £5!) vouchers off No7 cosmetics to buy one to have in the cupboard ready as a replacement as it's not something that I need to purchase often. They do have 3 for 2 offers on a lot too. It is only available in Boots stores and from Boots.com
They have recently changed the packaging, my current one looks like the picture here but there is a newer version that has a wider case. In my current palette there are 5 grams of powder, although from reading other reviews it seems there's slightly less in the newer one (though I can't confirm that myself).
The shade I use is called Soft Damson, I would describe it as a slightly paler plum purple colour. I have pale skin and I find that it suits my skin tone perfectly when used in conjunction with Max factor liquid and powder foundations, the ones I use being in their ivory tones. I find it accentuates my cheeks but doesn't make me look like a clown - it's fairly subtle but you can still see that my cheeks have a bit of colour. There are also several other shades available - the ones listed on the Boots website are Coral Flush, Melon, Soft Damson, Honey and Cool Pink although the damson is the only one I've tried.
The powder comes in a palette with a clip top that flips up to reveal the powder. There is no applicator brush with it so I use a blusher brush that I own. I find that I need one big swipe of the brush for each cheek. Then I just use the brush to blend it into my other make up. I find it blends in very well and very easily - it doesn't need much work to give me a natural look. I also sometimes use it across my forehead and on my chin too, but this is in much smaller quantities. As the powder wears down in the palette, is does become looser. As it gets to having around a quarter left, I find I have to be careful opening and closing the case as it's easy for it to fall out.
I use this blusher every single day. It's very versatile - I use it for work, for home and for nights out; I find it works very well in all situations. I find that it lasts very well once applied - I only find it's starting to wear off after 5 or 6 hours. Even with using it every day, I find the palette only needs replacing around once every six months! That to me is good value! I have recently bought another premium branded blusher to try out as I fancied a change but it's going to have to be outstanding to beat this as I can't find any complaints with it at all. I rate it 5 stars as it's all good.
Im quite a pale girl, I've never found a blush that looks quite right on me, most shades I've used are much to harsh and obvious. As a result I regulary use bronzer (actually its a 17 instance glow wash off self tan which works perfect as a cream bronzer much better infact than as a self tan, I wanted to review but it wasnt on the review list!) I got given this as a gift (the buyer had clearly taken advantage of the 3 or 2 vouchers on No7 I believe!) and was pretty impressed on trying it.....
The packaging is very basic as Ive found with quite a few No 7 products. Its a simple black compact, quite small in size with a see through mirror showing you about 2/3 of your blush. There the No7 logo printed on gold on the front.
The back of the compact has a sticker (which is recyclable if you peel it off) telling you the shade it is, the bar code and the boots address and website (for those that dont know No7 is a boots brand)
The window itself doesnt look very secure and I was concerned about the possibility of it cracking. I havent had any problems with it yet though.
HOW IT GOES ON
I used "10 Soft Damsen" and its perfect for my pale skin, its really subtle and with just one or two strokes I have the desired effect.
As with all No7 cosmetis its hypoallergenic so even if you have sensitive skin this blush can work for you. Id definitly reccomend buying it yourself where somebody at the counter can try the blush on you. The person who bought this for me got lucky given me what seems the perfect match for me but I think blusher is one of those things you need to try before buying- much like foundation. Id especially advise trying before buying on this as its not the cheapest of blushers.
Ive found on me it has great staying power and my cheeks will have a natural rosy glow up until the evening.
It also lasts ages! Although I dont use it every day I've had quite a lot of use out of it. I think because you dont need much it lasts that much longer, I've had it since July and it still looks practicallly new apart from the layer of pink dust on the edges!
These arent cheap at £8 a pop but as with quite a few No7 cosmetics I believe this is worth the money. I hate spending money and like a good bargain so if I was to buy this Id definitly make good use of the 3 for 2 or £5 off vouchers! With the £5 off voucher youd be getting this at just £3 which is a great bargain.
I have been using blusher by No.7 as my main blusher for a few years now.
I have used it in a few different colours, but I have currently settled for Soft Apricot, which is a red/ pink colour.
~ Price and availability ~
As No.7 is a Boots brand the product is only available in Boots and online at www.boots.com. It costs £8.00, which I think is really worth it as mine always lasts ages.
Boots regularly give out £5.00 No.7 vouchers so with one of these you can get the blusher for just £3.00.
It is currently available on the website in 5 different shades, but I believe it is available in more shades in store.
~ Packaging ~
The packaging for No.7 products has changed recently and I still have this blusher in the older version of the packaging, which is currently still stocked in some Boots stores.
The packaging for this blusher is just a larger version of the old No.7 eye shadow packaging. It comes in a black oval shaped compact with a semi-circle shaped window allowing you to see the colour of the blusher and 'No7' on the black plastic in gold lettering.
The blusher is hinged and easy to open. In the little compact the blusher is large and round. There is no brush or applicator that comes with it, but I'd prefer to use my own anyway.
The number and name of the blusher shade can be found on a sticker on the bottom of the blusher.
I like the packaging, but as with the No.7 eye shadow I have previously reviewed, I have found that with this blusher, after a while the plastic window in the blusher fell out and it cannot be put back in.
For this reason I can no longer keep this blusher in my make-up bag all the time, which is a shame as the packaging is quite thin and doesn't take up as much space as my other blushers and this is my favourite.
As I said the packaging has now changed for No.7's blushers so I expect the new packaging will have a more secure window solving this problem.
~ Use ~
I do still use this blusher a lot and it is my favourite blusher to use.
I like the Soft Apricot colour and it is a matte powder blusher, which looks really nice on, giving my pale skin a bit of colour.
I find that the colour is easy to pick up onto my brush and then the blusher transfers easily onto my skin.
I like that the powder is matte and it has no shimmer as I like the look that it gives creates. It looks natural on my skin and not over the top.
I have found the blusher is slightly less visible after a few hours, but it is still present. I like to top it up a bit after a few hours.
I think the blusher looks and feels of a very good quality and I am really happy with the results that it produces.
I prefer this blusher to all of the other blushers that I have used, including more expensive brands. Most of all, I like the colour and the nice matte effect that this blusher offers.
~ Conclusion ~
Overall I love this blusher and it is my favourite blusher to use. The colour is perfect for me and I love the matte effect on my skin. I like that there is no shimmer in the blusher.
The packaging has been a disappointment to me, but this has now been changed so I wouldn't expect this to happen again if I bought the blusher again with the new packaging.
I would definitely buy this blusher again. I think it is a bargain at £8.00, but since the No.7 £5.00 vouchers are given out so regularly I will probably wait until I have a voucher before I purchase this blusher again.
I'd really recommend this blusher. I think it is excellent and if you can get it for £3.00 in a shade that you like, there is little to lose!
I recently bought this from Boots along with a load of other No7 cosmetics on my mission to replace all my old and cheap make-up with some better quality stuff. When I feel like spashing out I normally invest in Bourjois blush but since No7 was on a 3 for 2 offer and I was getting several other products I decided to go for a No7 blusher too.
The product comes in a little compact flat circular case which opens up on a hinge, theres also a little window in the top so you can see the colour inside. Unfortunatly you dont get a little mirror or a little blusher brush as you do with Bourjois which I was a little disappointed about.
Its easy to apply and you dont need a lot on your brush to get a nice rosy effect on your cheeks. The best thing about this blusher is its ability to stay put throughout the day. With other cheaper brands I have used I found that blusher was probably the one thing in my make-up bag that I had to apply the most. This No7 one however stays put on my face throughout an entire day at work, saving my having to spend some time on my lunch or break having to touch up my make up. The blusher itself is very compact too, by this I mean it doesnt crumble everywhere or fall apart when getting some on your brush, its also taken a lot of banging and knocking whilst being carried around in my bag and its still in once piece. I have also been using it for just over a month now and it barely looks as though it has been used so I can tell it is going to last me a while and be well worth the investment!
No7 is only available from Boots as it is their own range of premium cosmetics, and the blush normally retails for around £8 - quite a steep price but it is well worth the investment! It also comes in 5 different shades too.
Overall I would definitely recommend it, it has good staying power and is going to last me a long time, and it is easy to get a good natural look with it as it blends well with my skin. Probably my favourite out of all the blushers I have used.
I've been using this blusher for a couple of years now. It costs £8.00 and I use shade 22 - Candy Pink. I love pale pink blushers and use this as my every day one (I use Benefit blusher at night for a more dramatic look)
It comes in a circular compact which is black with a clear lid and a gold No7 logo on top. The blusher block itself is large which means there is plenty of space to sweep a blusher brush over and pick up plenty of colour. The compact clicks closed and I have never had one break or start coming open in my bag the entire time I've been using the blusher.
I'm a big fan of this blusher for many reasons. Firstly the colour is perfect for me. It is nice and pink and looks visible on the skin but without looking over the top. Like I said this suits me during the day but at night I prefer the bolder Benefit blusher. It gives a lovely healthy glow which imitates a natural rosy cheek very well and in my opinion doesn't look obviously like make-up.
Secondly is goes on very well and feels nice on the skin. I use a big blusher brush to apply and the product picks up well on the brush and I apply it to the apples of my cheeks. If I'm feeling quite pale I sometimes apply it twice for a bolder look. I put it on after applying foundation and it always looks even and natural. It also lasts well throughout the day and I don't have to re-apply it at all.
It also feels nice on the skin and has never irritated my skin. It is a nice light powder so doesn't weigh down on the skin and it doesn't feel as if it is clogging up my pores. It also washes off easily at the end of the day.
I use this blusher every day and sometimes in the evening, and it lasts so long. It doesn't look like a big compact but somehow it just keeps on going. One compact usually lasts me about 6 months which is brilliant. I think this is down to the fact that the colour pigment is strong so you don't need to use much each time to get the desired colour.
I never thought I'd be paying £8 for a daytime blusher, but its definitely the best one I've tried so I wouldn't go for anything else now. It delivers a great colour without applying loads and looks natural. The time it lasts also justifies the slightly high price tag.
" a sweep of No7 Blush will give you a beautiful, natural look."
This Boots No7 Blusher retails for £9, exclusively at Boots stores and Boots online. Of course, as many of you may know, Boots offer £5 off No7 vouchers most of the time, which will reduce the price to a more affordable, £4.
The blusher comes in a black oval container with a transparent lid, allowing you to see the colour and product inside. The packaging looks sleek and is durable.
This Cheek colour is available in 4 colours; Soft Damson, Honey, Candy Pink and Coral Flush. These are mostly natural colours, perfect for day to day, but are also versatile to apply a bit more to wear in the evening. With pale skin, I do struggle finding blushers suitable, but these suit my skin tone perfectly.
Each blush is of excellent quality. They are pigmented enough to give good pay off, using a little amount of product to apply a nice flush to the cheeks but also are easily blendable, to look more natural.
The blushes apply easily and look and feel smooth on the skin, with a matte finish.
The lasting power of the blusher is not the best on the market but will last for 5 hours on the skin. I do find though that the lasting power will be more depending on the colour of the blusher and also how much it has been blended out.
Overall I feel that these are a great way to spend your No7 voucher. I would rate these 4 stars because they are pigmented, look great but could last longer.
Thanks for reading.
As many of you fellow reviewers are I am a big fan of the £5 off No 7 vouchers that Boots often give away. I find that it's the perfect opportunity to try a new product at a fraction of the price, after all you don't want to end up wasting your money on a product that you do not like. In this case I chose to purchase the natural blush cheek colour, as I am a big fan of the blush stick that No 7 sell I was very eager to try the powder blush to see if it would be just as good.
The blush comes in a black oval case with gold No 7 imprinted on the front. This is quite typical packaging for No 7 products and I think it does look like an upmarket brand.
Half of the packaging on the front is made of see through plastic which enables you to easily see what colour the blush is. I find that this is especially useful if you have a few blushers as you don't have to turn all of them round to read the colour shade which is on the sticker on the back of the packaging.
The lid itself on this product is attached via a hinge so you are not in danger of losing the lid, I have done this on numerous occasions with makeup products which is never good. The lid is very secure as well and clips in and out very tightly.
The main reason I chose to purchase the natural blush cheek colour was because the colours looked gorgeous. They look really pigmented in the packaging but what did it look like when I put it on?
I use an angled brush to apply my blush and after a gentle sweep in the blush the brush had already gathered up a good amount of product. As have done this over the past few months I have noticed that the blush itself does not leave a lot of excess in the packaging, a lot of blushers that I have used in the past I have opened and powder has just gone every where whereas this one remains quite solid.
With just one sweep across my cheeks you can already notice such a difference. Although the cheek colour is natural and does look quite subtle it makes such an impact on your face and you look glowing. The colour is easy to build up and does not look cakey or layered as it is easy to blend.
After you have applied your makeup and you continue with the rest of your day you will notice that that blush will last. It is usually a good 6 hours plus before I notice it begin to fade, which for a high street makeup product is extremely good.
Usually this product is £9 but with the £5 it's only £4 which I have to say is a bargain. Would I pay full price for the product? I have to say no purely on the basis that if there's a chance I can get it cheaper why not.
I really like this blush and the effect it has on my face and my makeup. It really does brighten my look up and gives me a nice rosy glow.
--also on ciao--
The Boots No.7 range produce a range of different types of blushers but this one is my favourite. I use it frequently and when it runs out I rush out to buy another one just the same.
It comes in a small black plastic container with the No7 logo embossed on it in gold. Inside the flip up lid it is all powder, no surprise wastes of space, no useless applicator taking up room, all powder - 5g of powder. Doesn't sound like a lot? Well it takes me a while to get through one pot, so definately worth the £9 price tag. In fact I think that's quite cheap.
There are four different colours of powder: soft damson, honey, candy pink and coral flush. I use the soft damson which is one of the paler shades. This is a compact powder, not a loose one, so it doesn't spill everywhere when you try to use it. I apply with a blusher brush. When you swizzle the brush around the powder you get a plentiful supply on the end of the brush, and there is not a lot of loose powder left lying in the pot to make a mess. It glides onto the skin very easily and is smooth to the touch. The colour on my skin is matt and natural looking, not obvious and flashy. I like it a lot.
It is hypo-allergenic and has Vitamin E and Pro-vitamin B5 in it, which, according to the label 'care and condition'. Who knew?
As Boot's are often giving away £5 off vouchers for the No.7 range I like to try out their products every now and again. On one such occasion I was in need of a new blusher and picked up No.7's Natural Blush Cheek Colour. I chose the colour Soft Damson as I am very fair skinned and have a bad habit of applying slightly too much blusher so I went for a softer shade.
*~* The Product *~*
The blusher comes in a little black compact, with an easily popped open lid. There is a little plastic window in the case so that you can easily see the colour you are bout to put on your face. There is a small gold No.7 on the front, the packaging is quite simple but nice. It doesn't look cheap.
Apparently this is a new formula of blush which means the powder is a lot softer and finer create a lovely natural glow on your cheeks.
The amount of blusher you get is 5g which although does not sound much is a good sized blusher, and the pot is not too shallow (not fooling you into thinking you are getting more than what you really are). Before use the blusher has a textured look imprinted into it, similar to woven fabric. This is good as you can check no-one has stuck their fingers in it before you buy it!
I cannot find a factual answer on whether No.7 tests on animals but I cannot see them on the PETA list of brands that do not test on animals.
*~* Price and Availability *~*
This blusher costs £9 and is available in all the larger boots stores and the majority of smaller ones. Some products are also available in the Boots Pharmacies.
If you do not live near a Boots you can also purchase it on their website.
*~* Colour Me Blushed *~*
Using the product is very simple, get a blusher brush - I find a smaller one is best if you are going for the just right amount of rosiness in your cheeks. Dab it into the pot lightly until you have a fine power on the end of the brush, blow or tap off any excess and sweep onto the apples of your cheeks.
A blusher brush is really necessary with this product as it is very oft and if you tried to use your fingers it wouldn't work as that method is a bit more heavy handed than this blush can take and you would end up with a not very natural looking, streaky cheeks.
The colour is not to strong and lightly blends into the skin. It may sound odd but a blusher of one make-up product I do not want to go one my face the exact colour it looks in the packaging as it would be far too strong, even in this lovely soft damson shade. You can build up colour with this, so if you prefer a stronger blush you can work up to shade that suits you. I personally find with this product a few sweeps on the apples on my check make me look nicely flushed and healthy.
The finish is not shiny with this product, it is a more of a soft powdery matt, but if you have moisturizer or a shiny foundation on it will blend with these making it sit naturally with the rest of your make-up.
One thing I have noticed with this is that if you are unfortunate enough to have a blemish on your cheek which you have tried to cover with concealer the blush can stick to it making it more obvious than you would like. However, I can only dream of how wonderful this blusher would be if you had amazing skin that did not need foundation as I think the soft finish would sit wonderfully on smooth porcelain skin.
*~* Did the Flush Fade *~*
Although it does not last all day it still does well and usually is still slightly visible by near the end of the day. This won't be helped by my sliding off my face foundation - for some reason my make-up seem yet to last a full day in the office without any touch ups! Yet a night in a sweaty club and it's fine!
*~* Damson In Distress *~*
It was all going so well until the little window in the case fell out! As I used this product daily, I carried it around with me. I knew it was inevitable that the powder would break and fall out of the now not protected little window but alas I continued to carry it around until that terrible day when I reached for something in my bag and found it a nice soft fluffy shade of pink!
I think the little window is a nice feature but if you plan to carry this in you bag be careful as I didn't even drop this product to make it fall out. This was quite disappointing as I really liked this product...I have even been tempted to just dip my blusher brush into my bag when doing my make-up!
There fore it would have been better if the window was not there at all, as unless you have all the shades of this product it really wouldn't take too long to open it up and check the colour inside before putting it on. Also, they could then put a mirror inside which for a large case I almost expected.
*~* Overall *~*
I really like this blusher and I used it everyday until it broke in my bag and there was nothing left...unless you include what was all over the inside of my little zip pocket! It is the packaging which sadly brings it down a star.
It works really well on pail skin and I would recommend it to anyone who is pale looking for a nice colour for their cheeks.
The next time I get another Boots No.7 voucher I will definitely be buying this again, but until then I will have to make do with my other product as I cannot justify £9 on a blusher when I already have some which are not too shabby.
Back to No7 one thing in my make up bag I would be lost without is good old blusher. Being rather pale this is perfect for me to add that bit of colour to my complexion. My favourite was always Boots No7 Iuminous powder blusher but sadly they don't do that one no more. So the hunt was on to try and find one to match, back to No7 I went.
No7 Natural Blush Cheek Colour 5g:
'No7 Natural Blush Cheek Colour has an improved formula that is softer and finer than ever before- so that it blends smoothly, giving you a beautiful and natural look.'
This doesn't come with blusher brush so if you don't have one you would really need one to apply this product, as using your finger it doesn't give you that nice even tone. Depending on what occasion I'm apply make up for I normally just use a small amount for that soft glow on my cheeks for that added colour.
First time I used this I was really happy with the outcome, I kind of didn't want to like it due to them stopping the luminous version. (As I'm stubborn that way!) But it gave me results just as good if not better. After I applied my make up the blusher is always the last item, which can make or break the look you're going for.
I loaded my brush up with a small amount of powder and smoothed it along the cheek bone line, instantly I had a soft pink glow which also gave off a slight shimmery look which I was after (I was using Candy Pink, for more natural day time look I use Soft Damson). It coated my cheeks well with a nice even look that wasn't over the top, healthy and refreshing looking.
Once applied the powder is very light and soft you can not tell that's its resting on your skin, as with most No7 products this item has great longevity. Once applying on the morning I found it lasted well during the course of the day and in all weathers too. Giving me that soft tinted rosy glow all day long with a shimmer when the light reflects off it, very natural and feminine looking.
The blusher comes in a black oval compact with a clear circle in the middle so you can see the colour of the blusher; as you can see from the picture and it is a compressed powder rather than loose. I like the No7 packaging its simple yet classy and I find it looks more expensive than it actually is. Only thing I am never keen on if the flip lids as I always feel I'm going to break them, but this one is much more durable than others I have used.
I use blusher everyday unless I'm not leaving the house so it gets used a lot, I like that so far the ones I've had have always stayed compact till the end. They didn't break up into bits which are one of my pet hates in make up as when you open the lid you end up loosing most of it. However you can use every last bit of this blusher knowing it will stay neat and compact.
Price and Availability:
As this is a Boots No7 item it can only be purchased from a Boots store or on their web site, if buying online delivery costs occur.
Blusher costs £9.00 which at first it seemed a little pricey but it simply lasts you ages, I normally use my blusher every day this one I've had around 8 months now and its still going strong with a slight dent in the powder.
Occasionally you can pick No7 up off eBay a little cheaper, so always worth a look.
Again another good result from trusted Boots No7 I love the way this looks and feels on my skin, it works well with my skin tone without looking to fake when it comes to adding a little colour. The price of this blusher over the years has started to creep up starting at £7 has now worked its way up to £9.00 so I hope they don't go up anymore.
They come in softer tones rather than loud bright one which suit's most complexions without having that over the top fake look. I would recommend you give them a go, plus you can always try before you buy if going to a Boots store. I always find the staff there helpful and one will normally sit with you and help work out with what colours suit you best.
Five out of five stars from me.
Thanks for reading :o)
One thing to note when looking at these colours online they seem to look slightly different one looking brighter another looking dull, so I would recommend going to see them in person more so than buying online.
Not tested on animals - hypo-allergenic
If you enjoy shopping at Boots like me, you will know about their advantage card system where you can earn points each time you shop in store or online. You can then use those points to buy items from Boots. I normally save mine up then treat myself, purchasing this blusher will earn you 36 points.
The Boots No7 range is something that I use regularly and I buy the products with the £5 off vouchers that Boots offer every once in a while, which make them incredibly good value.
I do like the range of colors in these blushers, and being pale skinned and red headed I found that the peach tone suited me best. It is easy to apply (as long as you have a good blusher brush) and it blends onto the skin very easily. It must be of good quality as it felt soft on the skin and never gave me dry skin. Be careful not to over apply the color though and I found it best to build it up gradually instead.
The criticism that I have is that the lightness of the powder meant that when I inevitably dropped it, the pressed powder split and it became messy to use. Some thicker packaging would probably prevent this, and save the breakage. Also, I have recently used a different blusher which has a lovely scent, and this is something that this blusher is lacking and I would prefer it to have. The price is around £8, which isn't cheap for a blusher but it does last a decent amount of time, until you drop it!
I brought this product about 6 months ago now when I received a £5 off no7 voucher from Boots. I had never worn a blusher before, but had no other use for the voucher so thought it was worth a go. It comes in a black plastic case, which has a see through gap on the top so you can see the colour of the product without opening it (makes life easy if you have a huge make up collection like me). It contains 5g of the blusher and comes in 4 different shades; soft damson, honey, candy pink and coral flush. I use the candy pink colour as it was the brighter pink colour out of the lot and looks the most natural on my skin. The product is also hypo-allergenic and fragrance free, making it suitable for those with sensitive skin.
The best way to apply the blush is with a blusher brush (I brought the number seven one and it is beautiful soft and the perfect size for this product). The recommend that when putting it on you smile. You are told not to put too much on at once as it is easier to add more than to remove, (this is definitely true with this product, and it is very long lasting for this reason). I followed these instructions and the product came out easily and evenly. It gave me a lovely natural glow.
Since purchasing the product 6 months ago I have continued to use the same one daily. I have got through 2 of them, making them fairly long lasting. The powder is nice and light and really easy to blend into your skin. It is a very natural colour and is well suited to any women who wants to wear blusher.
The product normally costs £8.75, but with the voucher I got it for the bargain price of £3.75. I definitely would say it is worth the full price, but it just so happens that when I am running low on the product they hand out the vouchers again so I have never paid full price for it. Oh I do love a bargain. I would definitely recommend this product. It is a beautiful blusher.
I can't say really whether it is the cleverness of the Boots No 7 team or whether I am just lucky to have finally found the right blusher for me but this is the best blusher that I have ever bought! My colour is Coral and it is just the right shade for my skintone. I actually bought it in the January sales for just £4.00 so it is certainly turning out to be good value for money as it is still going strong! I think even if I had paid full price I would still be happy with this product. It is a really soft powder, not bitty like some I have tried. It is also long lasting and sees me throughout the day looking healthy, a job well done as I usually look ill and pasty! This is a warm and natural colour and looks good both on the apples of the cheeks and contouring the cheekbones.
