Advantages: Good value, looks natural, nice feeling

Disadvantages: Doesnt survive being dropped!!

Some time ago I needed a new blusher so asked my mum to get one as part of my Christmas present and the one she bought me was the Boots No 7 Natural Blush Cheek Colour blusher in the colour soft damson. The blusher has been designed to give a natural looking colour and give an instant glow.

The blusher comes in a black compact with a small clear window on the front which allows you to see the colour of the blusher. It holds 5g of blusher which although doesn't sound much the fact that its powder and you only use a small amount means it does last for ages. It costs £8.60 but it is often on offer along with other Boots No 7 products and is currently on a 3 for 2 offer. The colours available are Soft Damson, Petal and Soft Apricot.

The blusher is a silky powder, if you run your finger over the blusher it leaves a smooth colour over your fingers. I always apply using a big blusher brush which picks up the powder easily and then its easy to apply to your face using gentle strokes to apply the colour evenly.

I really like this blusher, its natural looking which is important when you are pale skinned like me. When I have it on it doesn't look like I am wearing blusher but just looks like I have a bit of colour in my face. Its great applied on bare skin to give a gentle colour or you can apply it over foundation and it looks just as natural and great.

My skin is a bit sensitive but I don't find that this blusher irritates it or drys it out at all. The fact it is quite a light silky powder means it doesn't clog your skin either and its easy to remove at the end of the day with cleanser.

The only bad thing I found about this blusher is towards the end of using it I dropped it on my tiled bathroom floor and it broke up and went everywhere. Not really the fault of the blusher but I guess if you used a creamy blusher it wouldn't have done this. I guess I just need to not be quite so clumsy next time. I am going to have to go off to Boots to buy a replacement the only problem will be deciding what other 2 products to try to make use of the 3 for the price of 2 offer!

Summary: A lovely natural looking blusher
