I have used kohl-liners (which are fine for ... more  ... under the eye as they smudge well, but I find I resemble Chi-Chi the panda if I use them above my eyelashes...) and crayons (especially for eyes, not Crayola; I like to experiment, but I - excuse the pun - draw the line at using art supplies). My favourites have usually been the liquid variety as they produce, or are supposed to, that fabulously glamourous Audrey Hepburn-esque look. From the age of 15 I have not ventured out of the house without a defined black line swooshed just above my eyelashes. I can go without foundation or powder or lipstick if I'm in a hurry, having a lazy day or simply can't be bothered; but try to push me into the outside world without my eyeliner and I will cling to to the door-frame by my fingernails.
