Advantages: Subtle colour, reasonably priced, stays put all day.

Disadvantages: Not a very deep colour, may be difficult to remove.

If you regularly read my reviews, you will probably be getting a little tired of hearing me say how much I love Boots No 7 products, especially their 'goody bags' that are given away every now and again when you spend a certain amount on their products (usually around £15-20).

Sorry to disappoint but I will be singing their praises once again...

The Stay Perfect Eye Mousse is a regular feature in these bags, they usually come in 2.5ml trial sizes but are available to purchase in 5ml tubes for £8.30.

The colours sometimes vary depending on the season. I have Sky (baby blue) and Pewter (self-explanatory, lol!). The Eye Mousses are currently available in;
Vanilla
Fudge
Sky
Khaki
Pewter
Plum

Each tube comes in the exact same shade as the eye shadow inside.

The mousse itself is quite dark in colour and is of quite a thick texture. Because of this, you only need the tiniest amount.
The colour blends easily, and in my opinion, is best blended with fingertips or a small brush. A sponge applicator would only soak up the product.

When you blend the product, it glides smoothly over the eyelid and easily coats the lid in a subtle, transparent shimmer. It retains the original colour unlike a lot of eye shadows that turn out lighter or a slightly different tone when applied) and is an exact match to the colour of the tube, so what you see is what you get.

Being a mousse, most eye shadows rub off easily or crease, but as this formula is so light it doesn't do any of this and really stays put... A little too put, in fact!

When you come to remove the eye shadow it takes a good remover (or baby wipe) as it is an oily formula. I always use baby wipes to remove my make-up, probably not the best option for my skin but it is the quickest and easiest method, especially for mascara or tough eye shadow such as this.
If you don't use something that is quite effective you will end up with a very pale shimmer that spreads over the entire eye area and will not go without a fight!

I like this product although it is not something that I would usually use as I prefer a deeper colour. This kind of eye shadow is perfect for everyday use and is ideal for work or somewhere where you need to be a bit subtler with your make-up.

Overall - a nice colour that will not crease, wipe off or smudge and as you need so little it will last for a very long time. It can be difficult to remove though and is not a very deep colour.

If you like the sound of this eye shadow then head down to your nearest Boots asap as they currently have 3 for 2 on most of the No 7 range. And don't forget your advantage card as this item is worth 32 points.

It is also a risk free investment as unlike most other beauty/cosmetics companies, if you are at all unhappy with any No7 product you can return it for a full refund, as long as you have your receipt of course.

Summary: If you like a little shimmer but need subtlety with your make-up you've come to the right place!
