Advantages: Looks good, lasts all day and small enough to fit in a handbag
Disadvantages: Expensive unless you possess a Voucher, and in the past there has been mixing of the colours
I love boots and I love their No 7 range. From make up to nail polish, I have always been a little addicted for the expensive range. Luckily, I have a boots advantage card, and I only ever buy No7 when they give out the £5 off vouchers for No7 when you spend £5 or more in store. Today, I am reviewing Boots No7. Stay perfect eye shadow trio, Number 50, storm. This is a gorgeous little compact trio of two blue and one white eye shadow.
*Who are Boots?*
Boots was formed by a herbalist John Boot in 1849 in Goose Gate Nottingham. His son, Jesse Boot was born in 1850. By 1877, Jesse took over, forming Boot and company Ltd in 1883. What began as a family herbal business, turned into a multimillion pound pharmaceutical company, with ownership in the UK. Jesse Boot died at the age of 81 in 1931. From New Zealand to Asia, there are factories and retail Boot shops all over. In 2005, Boots group merged with alliance Unichem to form Alliance Boots plc, an international pharmacy-health beauty group. And girls, they have the advantage card system, giving us offers and points (which we can spend on more health and beauty products)
*No7*
The Number seven range may be expensive, but it's is brilliant quality, and you will understand why when you know how long this brand has been around. In 1935, the product as launched, making No 7. 73 years old, and giving 73 years of expertise and perfection.
*Eye shadow*
As most men will know, most women love make up, but what is the reason behind it? Well, it simple: It enhances our natural features. Ok, so there are some women who cake it on and it can end up looking worse than ever before, but most women will apply a more natural look. Eye shadows give colour to the lids, and enhance the colour of the eyes. If you have green eyes, brown especially makes the colour of the iris stand out, but blue can also help. If you have blue eyes, Brown is again the best but a deep green can also enhance the natural iris colour. Brown eyes are best with green or blue eye shadows to enhance the colour of the iris. There are many ways you can sweep the eye shadow over the eye lids, making it big and bold or as subtle as possible.
*The Product*
So with my voucher in my hand, I went for a browse in my local boots, looking for my new eye shadow colours. Having decided it's party season, I thought subtle tones of blue with a deeper shade in the inside of my eyes would go brilliantly with my Christmas work party outfit (I hope I stun them :p).
The trio comes with a foam applicator, and it can fit in a small handbag if you do want to re-apply it at any point during the day. It's black and shiny on the outside and comes with a tip of what you can do with all three colours on the lids in the little leaflet and information of the ingredients stuck to the back.
*How to apply*
Take the applicator brush, dab it onto the eye shadow colour of your choice, and then apply to the eyelids. I generally just apply the pastel colour blue to the crease of my eye lids, but for the work party, I might use the tip in the leaflet, and be more bold and adventurous. First, take one of the sponge ends, and dab onto the white eye shadow, applying to the whole eye lid as a base and an enhancer for the entre eye. Then, take a different sponge end and dab into the pastel colour, applying to the crease of the eyelid. Finally, turn the applicator round for a different sponge end and dab into the deep blue eye shadow, applying it the tip of the eyelid like eyeliner. Using a different sponge for each colour will help prevent mixing of the colours, and maintain the colours for longer. As there are 4 different sponge ends on the applicator, you can use the forth one for blending the colours together if you don't have a blender brush.
*Conclusion*
Having used the product for 2weeks now, I find it brilliant. The colour stays on my lids all day, and when I take it off with make up wipes at the end of the day, I can see the colour clearly. I have seen no reason to re-apply during the day and found that it enhances the natural colour of my green eyes. I prefer the dark one as it allows my green eyes to twinkle slightly more than the pastel blue colour. So far, I have only mixed the Deep blue with white to tone it down slightly for work. I use the pastel colour for when I go to college in an outfit that looks better with pastel colours. When I dab the applicator into the eye shadow, the powder is quite loose and I have found with other No7. eye shadows in the past that this loose powder mixes with the other colours (generally in my case dark loose powder in the light colours) and so this can ruin the lighter colours. However, so far so good and I have only noticed flecks of powder on the packaging rather than the eye shadows. For £9.50 I don't think I would buy it, as it is expensive, and I wouldn't spend that much in the current financial climate, but with my £5 vouchers I am more than happy to pay £4.50. This will probably last me around 9-12months if I use it 3-4 times a week, which £4.50 I think it's brilliant because it enhances my beauty.
Overall, I give it 9 out of ten stars because it lasts a long time, looks brilliant easy to apply, but it is expensive compared to other brands on the market and with other No7. eye shadows in the past I have noticed flecks of dark eye shadows mixing with lighter eye shadows, ruining the colour.

There are stores all over the UK which stock No7 products so find your nearest one, and look out for the £5 off vouchers- also you can get advantage card points as well which I think is an added bonus.
