Advantages: Wide range of colours to choose from.

Disadvantages: Quite a dull matte effect.

I have a really wide variety of mixed experiences with the No7 range. Some items I have found really good, like their nail varnish remover, and other items I have found really bad like their mascara. I was really curious to see which of these catagories their eyeshow range fell into!

Price and range:

These eyeshadows cost eight pounds full price from Boots stores. Sometimes they are in the sale, and are reduced normally to under five pounds. When they are in the sale they are not kept with the rest of the No7 on the main display but somehwere else random in the store in a messy bargain bucket! It is worth seeing if your chosen colour has been reduced! Boots very often give out No7 vouchers, which entitle you to five pounds off a no7 spend. I never buy No7 products until I have this voucher. Always be patient, they always come round again. Using the voucher makes this product a much more reasonable price.

Availablitity:

You can get these from most Boots stores. The larger stoes do a small range and the bigger ones do a bigger range. I have never yet been to a Boots store which doesn't have any. The larger ones have a dedicated counter and sales assistant which you could ask for advice about which colour to chose if you wanted.

Ease of use and product details:

The eyeshadow is a single eyeshow, so you have to be sure you like the colour. I would only buy one of these once I had already tested the colour and could be sure that it was one I would get lots of use out of. The eyeshadow comes in an oval pot with a flip on and off lid. The No7 packaging is black, simple and classy. The flip on and off lid is easy to use and secure. There is a small apllicator inside which is short and curved. I don't find this particularly easy to use at all, so I use my own set of make up brushes. The eyeshaodw smooths on quite easily. It is quite powdery so good to have a quick blow of it afterwards to stop it catching on your lashes.

What does this look like on:

The colour is quite true to how it appears in the tub which is always a good thing, and then no surprises. The eyeshadow has quite a matte effect. I think it highlights my lines and creases, so I am not a big fan of the finished effect. The eyeshadow does have quite good udrability and really does last for a good six hours.

Conclusion:

I think the final effect of these eyeshadows is quite harsh and difficult to blend. I need a more shimmery uplifting eyeshadow to lighten my appearance so this is not for me and I would not be buying one again.

Summary: I won't be buying again, especially not at full price.
