Advantages: The cream is oily yet lightweight.

Disadvantages: Nothing major.

I think that the term `less is more` is one that applies to the majority of skin foundation creams. I agree that it looks very eye catching if you see a woman who is beautifully made up but on the other hand I hate to see the `mask` effect that can come from overdoing it on the skin foundation cream.
Younger skin can adapt to a slightly heavier foundation cream but as skin starts to age it definitely needs a light cream that also needs applying with a light hand.

The Boots No 7 Stay Perfect foundation has a middle of the range price tag, you can get far cheaper foundation creams and if you are feeling flush then there are a lot that cost a pretty penny more than the Boots No 7 foundation cream.
At the moment Boots have the Stay Perfect foundation cream on sale at £15 for a 30 ml bottle and that a purchase will also earn you 60 Boots Advantage card points.

The Stay Perfect foundation cream range comes in seven shades, Cream, New Ivory, Buff, Blonde, Almond, Tan and Suede.
The box is a classic style, navy blue card with gold lettering and it looks good. The bottle is opaque glass, it has a pump action dispenser and the cap is navy blue plastic with gold lettering.
Maybe some would say that the packaging is not an issue but we the public tend to `buy with our eyes` and if the companies market their goods well then I feel that it does make a vast difference to how we in turn view the product.

The list of ingredients on the back of the box is amazingly long so I have no intention of listing them. But there are a few key points that do need to be added, the Stay Perfect foundation cream has an inbuilt SPF which is an essential ingredient, Pro vitamin B5 and Vitamin E are included in the cream to help care for and protect your skin and the foundation cream will not block your skin pores.
Boots Stay Perfect foundation cream is hypo-allergenic and they state that they have tested the cream on many who have sensitive skin and they have had no adverse reaction.
The foundation cream is fragrance free, I quite like a cream that has a slight fragrance so this could possibly knock a point off on my part.

I have the `Blonde` shade, it seemed to be the nearest shade to my natural skin tone, although it is always really hard to tell when we are forced to choose our shade in an artificial light in the store.
The bottle needs to be shaken well before use and when you start to use the pump action dispenser the foundation cream spurts out in thick blobs.
I could feel the oil in the cream, even as I rubbed it into my skin that oily feel was very evident. The Boots Stay Perfect foundation cream may feel oily but at least it is a very lightweight cream.
The `Blonde` shade is pale and very close to my own natural skin colour and with the help of a small sponge it was soon all worked into my skin.

Once the light layer of Stay Perfect foundation was in place I personally felt that my skin still felt a bit bare so I decided to add another even lighter second layer. The second layer worked well and the finished effect was fairly flawless.
I am one of the lucky ones, I may have mature skin that is dry but I rarely suffer from spots and the light cream gave good cover. Once I had covered a light facial skin blemish with concealer the Stay Perfect foundation cream topped it off well and it was pretty much a good unnoticeable matte finish.

The Boots Stay Perfect foundation cream feels soft on the skin and Boots have designed this cream to be long lasting. They say if you apply it in the morning then the effect will still be there in the evening, I feel that any very light foundation cream does stay put far longer.
If you use a heavy skin foundation then as sure as eggs are eggs that cream will find its way into all the fine lines and create unwanted creases but cream that is as lightweight as the Stay Perfect tends to stay where you put it.
The Lightweight Stay Perfect foundation even manages to stay in place in the extra sensitive areas such as underneath your eyes.

Boots describe the cream as fade and rub free and transfer resistant and I feel that their description suits the product fairly well. It is easy to remove, either use soap and water or a make up remover pad.
Yes, I think Boots have done a good job and that the Stay Perfect foundation cream will have many followers but each and every day sees a new and exciting product hit the market and the competition is fierce.
But mature skin is very receptive towards this type of foundation cream.

Summary: Mature skin ? then go ahead and try this.
