Advantages: Matches skin tone well, blends well, looks natural
Disadvantages: None really
I use a few different make up brands but a good 85-90% of my make up collection is from the Boots No7 range. Although this range isn't cheap, I tend to find I can find a lot of bargains on Ebay, and this is where I get a lot of my No7 make up on to save on costs and one item I purchased from Ebay was their Stay Perfect Liquid Foundation.
I was a little nervous choosing a foundation off the internet as I wasn't sure what shade to go for but with the full price of the stay perfect foundation being £14.00 a bottle in Boots stores, and only £7.00 off Ebay, I thought it was worth the risk, and luckily I chose right.
There are over 15 different shades in this range and one to suit every skin colour no matter how pale or dark you are which is good. I am relatively pale so I went for one of the lighter shades and I chose 'Cool Vanilla' as my shade and luckily, I chose right.
The foundation comes in a little glass bottle with black plastic top and the foundation itself is dispensed via the white pump action top. I have found that two or three pumps maximum dispenses enough foundation to cover the entire facial area without leaving you looking or feeling too 'made up'. This is liquid foundation that did look a tad runny when dispensed onto my make up sponge which concerned me slightly to begin with, but it turned out to be a positive thing as due to the liquid not being too thick, this foundation does really light and natural on the skin which is great as there is nothing worse than foundation feeling heavy on the skin.
The light covering allows your skin to breathe and doesn't leave you feeling like your skin is clogged up which is great, however the light covering doesn't mean the foundation doesn't do its job.
I would describe my skin as 'light problem skin' as my skin tone is quite uneven and I have open pores which mean generally my skin looks quite dull and unappealing and I like a foundation that covers my flaws, but I like a natural look and this foundation provides me with this. I was extremely impressed with how flawless my skin looked when this was applied. My skin had a smooth, even toned look to it and the colour suited my perfectly with no lines at all. It blended really well and looked really natural.
This foundation has a SPF factor of 15 and I was quite impressed with the longevity of it. I have naturally greasy skin and sometimes by mid afternoon, cheaper foundations are almost non existent but this one held off the effects of my horrible greasy skin and it lasted a complete day of work. Yes, in the evening I felt it would have needed a re-application but then I expect that and provided it lasts the majority of the day, then I am satisfied that and this foundation did that and did it well.
I felt the foundation was quite moisturising too, probably due to it being a liquid foundation as I find some powder foundations need a moisturising base to stop my skin drying out but after my morning cleansing routine, I have found that this is fine to apply without a base.
Overall, this is a really good liquid foundation from the Boots No7 range and I would happily recommend it to all. Yes, it is expensive at full price but I would recommend perhaps visiting a Boots store to find the shade that matches your skin colour and then perhaps looking at Ebay to see if they do your shade cheaper as you really can get some bargains in this range off Ebay. In terms of quality and usage though, this is a great foundation that covers all minor flaws and feels light on the skin. Recommended.
Summary: A really good foundation from the Boots No7 range
