Boots No7 Ultimate Sensitive Mascara is my favourite mascara, not including clear ones. It has the perfect consistency – not too thick or too watery. It is also good for sensitive eyes like mine.
The shape of the brush is great as it leaves the lashes separated and natural looking. The mascara doesn’t smudge easily but is not waterproof so be careful. It is also a bit pricey and costs about £6.
However I do think its brilliant value and it lasts for a long time as I only wear mascara when I go out.

I’m told that using an eyelash curler with the mascara is simple and effective. I personally think of eyelash curlers as instruments of torture and can’t use them. How to get round this in my quest for gorgeous looking lashes? Well I tend to heat up a teaspoon with a hairdryer and then softly press the lashes upwards. I find my eyelashes look naturally curled and then put on the mascara.

Tips to getting perfect lashes

*~ Use a lash conditioner to keep them at their best. Vaseline is perfect for this (for the wonders of Vaseline see the relevant op!). Try not to get any in your eye. Use before going to sleep, but don’t use prior to putting mascara on.

*~ Avoid applying the mascara really close to the base of the lashes if your eyes are very sensitive. This will help stop the product irritating the eye.

*~ Comb lashes with an eyelash comb before the mascara dries to eliminate excess.

*~ Don’t put more than one coat, and if you must then apply before the first coat dries. Otherwise the mascara may flake.

*~ If you plan to wear other eye make-up like eyeshadow then apply mascara LAST!

*~ And taking the mascara off? As I’ve said Vaseline is very versatile and is great to remove eye make-up.

Mascara shouldn't be used for longer then six months once the bottle is opened (don't ask me why!). Seeing as it&
#39;s used on your eyes I feel it's important to be careful.
