Boots No & 360 Lash Mascara

After receiving a voucher for Boots No7 products (£5 off) and I was in need of a new mascara I decided on trying one from this No7 range. I have never before tried one as they cost about £11 each and I usually spend around £6 to £7 at most on my usual mascaras. But seeing as I had a £5 money off voucher the mascara would cost me the same price as what I usually pay.

I opted for the 360 Lash mascara as I thought the idea sounded great. The fact that the mascara is able to cover 360 degrees of your lashes making them thicker, fuller and longer. I has a look at the brush before I bought the mascara and it looked quite different from the one I had just finished as the bristles seemed a lot closer together and the brush had a slight twisted effect.

I paid my £6 and handed over the £5 money off voucher and it wasn't until the next morning that I tried to use the mascara. I usually opt for the brown/black mascara but there was only black available so I thought I would give this colour a try and see if it made my lashes look more visible.

Boots claim that this mascara gives up to seven times more volume and this mascara is a breakthrough design! They say that the brush is shaped uniquely with tapered brush fibres delivering outstanding 360 degree volume to every single lash. They also say that boots No7 360 degree lash mascara is the most impactful mascara ever! These I think are pretty high claims that unfortunately the mascara just doesn't live up to.

On using the mascara, I found the brush rather difficult to use as the twisted effect made it harder to apply the mascara to the lashes evenly. The mascara seemed very thick and clumpy on the brush itself which I was sure would transfer onto my lashes, and I was right. The clumps of black mascara clung to my lashes and no matter how hard I tried to even the product out over my lashes it just didn't work. The fact I had black instead of brown made the clumps seem to stand out more .

After several attempts of taking off the mascara, reapplying, shaking the mascara tube it still gave the same effect. I thought it was no good no matter what I tried as before I had even tried to apply the mascara to my lashes the product was thick and clumpy on the brush itself.

Yes it did make my eyelashes thick but in a sort of clumpy sticky way. It was really difficult to remove as well the mascara just seemed to stick and cling to each lash but not in a good way at all. I seemed to look like one of those old women who drink to much wine and have the shakes when they apply there 15 year old makeup! (If you know what I mean!).

I was so sure that this mascara would be good as for its original price of £11 this would have been one of the more expensive mascaras that I have ever used. I was reading a magazine a few days ago and they did an overview of all different mascaras and this one was there and it score the lowest of 3/10. I think the magazine was overly kind in giving it 3/10 as I am giving it a very bad 0/10.

I found that it was so bad there is no way I can ever use it again. It was a complete waste and now the full 7ml mascara bottle is sitting in my drawing waiting to be thrown away.

It really was no good at all. Difficult to apply and then difficult to take off even with the best makeup remover. It was clumpy both on the brush and on my eyelashes. It was too thick and sticky for a natural look and the brush didn't cover the lashes evenly.

All in all I would so no recommend this mascara and I would suggest stay clear of the no7 mascara for the price and the use.

I hope this has been of some help to you.

Thanks for taking the time to read. xxxxx

Summary: dont buy it

I'm amazed that you found the mascara clumpy, it went onto my eyelashes really evenly.
It is an awful product though.
Good review.
