Advantages: Dries Quick, Funky Looking Tube.

Disadvantages: Clumps, Hard To Apply... List Goes On!

This No 7 Extravagant Lashes mascara came out last week and I got quite excited (sad I know) because I love Boots No7 Extreme Lashes (old version).
The Extreme Lashes has not long been out itself and so far it's my favourite mascara as it does everything it says on the tube.
So when I popped into my local Boots to pick up one these new Extravagant Lashes mascara I was looking forward to having longer lashes that stood out more, possibly achieving the look I really want?!

On the 12ml dark purple chunky tube it says 'Extravagant loading for luxurious volume and a memory polymer that lifts and curls lashes.'
The mascara also claims to have a dramatic curling effect. With 8 hours curl and 7 times more volume.

When I got home I tried this mascara on.
First off I curled my lashes then I twisted the chunky lid off and pulled out the wand, the wand is alot bigger than my old mascara.
If anyone has tried Extreme Lashes before it has the same wand just alot bigger.
It's like a wire brush but gentle to the lashes.

When I pulled the wand out I noticed it had quite alot of mascara on it.
I applied it to my lashes and was shocked, my lashes had all clumped up and felt very wet, as if I had been crying alot.
I continued to apply it but my lashes continued to clump. I looked in the mirror and all I could see was my lashes stuck together, not a good look!
I then thought to myself, my lashes don't look any longer or curled.
As I had to go to work I quickly wiped it off my eye feeling very disappointed.

Today I decided it was time to try again with the mascara as I had alot more time on my hands.
This time I decided to shake the tube to see if that made a difference, as I pulled the wand out it was still very wet so I wiped some off.
I applied it to my lashes and was happy to see so far it hadn't clumped!!
I continued with the rest of my eye and noticed I kept getting mascara on the very edge of my eye lid, close to my eye ball and I wasn't even near that part of my eye. I guess this Is due to the size of the wand.

After I had finished applying it I looked in the mirror, again to my disappointment I had clumpy, stuck together lashes with no curl what so ever or length.
The only thing it had improved was the volume of my lashes as they had clumped together.
I left it to dry and my lashes still felt wet as if I had been crying.
It didn't take to long to dry which is probably the only thing I'm impressed with and now it's dry my lashes feel, well, normal.

Now they are dry I have just looked in the mirror. They don't look clumped but, some of the lashes are still stuck together which is noticeable.
There is still no length or volume as promised on the tube. And the only curl I get is from the eyelash curlers I used before applying the mascara.

Judging it against No7's Extreme Lashes (Old version) Extreme Lashes wins hands down and I can achieve alot more from that mascara.

Taking this mascara off is something I seem to do alot with all the failed attempts of putting it on, and it comes off well. I use Boot's cucumber facial wipes and the mascara comes off using those with no problem.

Considering Extravagant Lashes in the new one out I expected it to be alot better!

- Conclusion -
____________

Extravagant Lashes- Extravagantly disappointed!
There are just 3 good things about this mascara which are:
*Dries quickly
*Comes off well
*Tube looks nice
I'm not going to list the bad points, as there are just to many!

I have never been disappointed using a No7 product, so when it comes to their higher price tag I feel I will get what I pay for and normally do.
Unfortunately I can't say the same with this mascara and I won't be buying it again! Unless they do a new and improved version, I may give that a try.

It costs £11.50 for 12ml. I didn't pay this much as I had a voucher for £5 off and then I got a little more off so for me it was around £4.
I would never pay £11.50 for a new mascara and I'm glad I didn't for this!

You can only purchase it in Boots as No7 is a Boot's own brand.
The mascara comes in Black, Brown/Black and Navy which is a good choose of colour!
The mascara is hypo-allergenic and lasts up to 6 months after opening.

I have read a few other reviews online and the customers seem to get the same result as me.
I will continue to try this mascara to see if I can get any sort of good result from it and to use it up.
But I don't understand how No7 promise the 7 times extra lashes and 8 hour curl?!

This mascara only gets 2 stars- as it doesn't do anything that it claims to do and I get more length from the old mascara No7 made Extreme Lashes.

2 Stars - Not Recommended.

I totally agree, I love No 7 products, but their mascara is too expensive for what it is. Great review!
