Advantages: Not a great deal - does make your lashes look better when applied.

Disadvantages: Clumpy, Brush is Difficult to Work With, Expensive

No.7 is Boots own premium brand, and offer a wide range of make up and skincare products. I have tried out some of their products before and really liked them, however I do tend to think they are overpriced. I was excited when this mascara was introduced because it looked like the perfect mascara for me.

The tube and brush are shown in the image above, and the packaging is very nice and elegant. The brush itself is hot pink and rather than being rounded, it is a square, rubber brush. I was not sure if I would enjoy using this, and I was right. The whole tube is very chunky, as is the brush. As I am always seeking big, falsh lash effect eye lashes, larger brushes do not always bother me, however this is just far too big to use efficiently. If you have short eyelashes, you would not have a chance at using this without getting the product on your face. The design of the wand is not good at all, and this put me off using the product.

It is available in three standard colours and these are black, brown and navy. I purchased the black shade, and I must admit it is a very jet black, therefore it does make my eyelashes stand out much more.

When you first take the brush out of the tube, you do sometimes get clumped bits of mascara on the wand, and when trying to apply this to your eyelashes, I find that it is very wet, and takes a long time to dry, therefore a number of times I have blinked and ended up getting it on my brow bone, or just underneath my eyes.

Boots claim that this mascara should give you 'elegant, fluttering, show-girl lashes that really open up your eyes'. I think this statement is perhaps a bit incorrect, however they did make my eyelashes stand out and look much longer and thicker. I was generally impressed with the results of my eyelashes, however it took much longer to get them to this stage, whereas my usual mascara (Rimmel Volume Flash) would probably do this within one minute.

Only one coat of this mascara is needed to achieve the results, and you do get 12ml in the tube, which is fairly good, and should probably last a little longer than most do anyway.

As for staying power, this mascara does last throughout the day, and it does not rub off or flake at all. The staying power was decent enough, but I have seen cheaper mascaras that can do a better job!

I would not repurchase this mascara simply because the brush is too fiddly and not at all practical. I was not impressed with it one bit, and considering this cost £12.00 it did not deliver. I find that many No.7 products are priced highly, however this mascara just was not worth the money in which I paid.

If you are somehow interested in buying this, you can pick it up from Boots or online at www.boots.com for £12.00.

Overall, I would not recommend this mascara to you, and I think you can definately find better quality mascaras for a cheaper price than this. The only benefit of purchasing this product is that you get your Boots Advantage Card points! Thanks for reading.

Summary: Not worth the price.
