Advantages: Hypoallergenic, brand reputation

Disadvantages: Looks unnatural, brush is very awkward and clumsy to use

I am quite a big fan of Boots No7 products and I bought this product quite a while ago and forgot all about it. At the time I bought it, it cost £10.50, however I had a voucher which meant I got it free when I bought any other Boots No7 product so it seemed like a bargain to me.

The product comes in small tub which is made of cardboard, the colour of the tub reflects the colour of powder that you have bought. In side the tub is your powder which has a small brush resting on top of it. Like all No7 make-up this product is hypo-allergenic, so it should be fine for people with sensitive skin.

I applied the powder all over my face lightly using the brush provided and I wasn't too impressed with the results. I felt that the brush was quite clumsy to use and this meant that you ended up repeatedly putting more powder onto the brush and this meant you had too much on your face. I didn't really like the colour or finish either, it didn't look natural or 'right' on my face so away it went into my makeup bag and it stayed there for some time.

I was having a bit of a blusher crisis a few weeks ago as I realised that I was running out of the one I was using and I wasn't going to be able to get a new one for a few days, so I decided to see what I had stashed away. I found this pot and decided to give it ago as blusher and I was quite pleased with the results, the finished effect was quite subtle but it what I would expect of blusher and it did last all day. I did have to use another brush, not the one supplied in the tub and this made it much easier to apply.

Now, I'm not sure how you're actually supposed to use this powder, the tub says apply to face, so I assumed it was meant to be used as a face powder - hence being called powder but if that is the case then it definitely didn't work at all.

As a blusher, well it was slightly better but I do like a much bolder blusher colour so this worked only as an emergency blusher and I was glad when I could get to the shops and buy a shiny new blusher.

Overall I was very disppointed in this product, perhaps I ws applying it wrong but it just didn't work for me at all and looked reall heavy on my face, completely unnatural!

Summary: Not something I'll be buying again
