      Good Eyeliner

*** Eye liner is something I like to where when I go out, just to draw attention more to my eyes than the rest of my face. Finding a decent eyeliner has been a bit of a problem. I have used one of No 7's eyeliners before, and it was good, but not dark enough, and did not stay on long enough. With my £5 off No7 products voucher, I decided to test the Metallic Eyes Pencil. I bought the eyeliner in colour 'Blackest'. One side of the pencil, is the pencil, and the other side has a smudge tip, both have lids to protect them. The pencil looks more like a very thin crayon, and is black with shiny bits in it. On application I have found it to be very smooth, and the colour comes out immediately, there is no need to press really hard to get colour out, which is great to apply to both the top and bottom lid of the eye. The colour s very well defined, and usually just one application will do the trick, and only requires one or two touch ups during the day. The smudge tip is not something I really use that often, and have found that when used, it takes off the eyeliner rather than smudges it. As I don't really need to use the smudge tip, this is not really a problem for me. This eyeliner is pretty good at creating the smoky eyes effect that seems to be quite popular these days. As great as it looks, the eyeliner does have a downside for sensitive skin. When it has found its way into my eye, it has made my eye a bit itchy, but so long as I don't rub it doesn't go red, and the itch doesn't last that long. I also find that the following morning when I get up, my eyes are a bit red and irritable. Removing the eyeliner is also a bit of a problem, with eye make-up remover or water it just goes everywhere, the shiny bits spread making your face look as though it has glitter on it. You almost have to keep poking at your eyelids to get it off, wiping in between each eyelash. It is time consuming, and may also be the reason why my eyes feel irritable in the morning. The best remover has been the No7 Quick Thinking wipes, as it manages to get most of the eye liner off, but is still time consuming. I have been using this about two or three times a week, and have had it for a few months, so far it hasn't needed any sharpening, so it looks like it may last quite a while. It costs around £6.50 on the Boots website, so fairly good value for money. Would I recommend this? I think this really depends on the individual and whether you can bare the irritation afterwards, for a few hours of beauty. It is so far the best eyeliner I have tried...in terms of the way it makes my eyes stand out...as superficial as it sounds it is worth the irritation the following day. ***

      I prefer Amazing Eyes Pencil

No7 is a beauty range which is exclusive to Boots. The range is quite extensive and includes skin, body, make up and tanning products. {Metallic Eye Pencil} No7 offer various eye make up products which include mascara, eyeshadows and eyeliners. They currently offer 3 different eyeliners, one of which is a liquid based eyeliner. One eyeliner available comes in pencil form and is known as Metallic Eye Pencil. This range of eyeliner pencils, became available for the Festive season last year and are still currently available to purchase. This eyeliner claims to be longlasting, soft and ideal for sparkling up your eye makeup for a night out. It claims to offer an intense colour across your lash line and can also be applied along your eyelid depending on your preferrence. Metallic Eye Pencii is hypo-allergenic (as are all No7 products). This specific pencil is offered in 5 different shades to create various looks. You have the safe options such as Black and Bronze. Alternatively, you could dare to be a little different with Green, Blue or Purple shades. {Design} The eyeliner is held within a long, thin pencil which is black with gold writing. A click on lid is present and once removed, reveals the pencil nib. The pencil will be provided to you with a pointy tip but with use, will need sharpened. {Price} Each shade is available from www.boots.com or in Boots stores. The eyeliner is only 1g in weight and should be used up within 6months for hygiene purposes. The pencil costs £7.75 as does the Amazing Eyes Pencil that No7 offer. It is worth noting that No7 regularly run offers such as 3 for 2, £5.00 off vouchers or a free gift when you spend £22.00 so it is worth checking this out and saving yourself some money. {My Experience} My make up wouldn't be complete with eyeliner. I like an eyeliner to be of a high quality. I want it to be creamy, offer an intense colour and stay put without dissolving. I would like to purchase the Lancome or Clarins eyeliners regularly though my budget won't stretch at the moment. As a more affordable option, I like the No7 Amazing Eyes Pencil. When I last had a £5.00 off voucher, I decided to purchase this Metallic Eye Pencil and paid the small sum of £2.75. The design is pretty standard and this pencil fits nicely into my makeup bag. One way this does differ from Amazing Eyes is the lack of smudger applicator though this doesn't worry me too much. The shade I have is Black as I like to play it safe. I bought this one to use this one as a change from the other eye pencils I own and really when I wanted my eyes to sparkle a little. {Metallic Black - Really?} This pencil is very easy to grip even with my unsteady hands! With a decent light and mirror infront of me, I apply my eyeliner as the first step of my eye makeup. I find the nib of this pencil to be slightly different that khol pencils. It appears to be slightly enclosed within the pencil and this makes it a little difficult, but not impossible to sharpen the pencil. The colour before application appears intensely black and little glittery particles are visible. Anyway, application is fairly easy with this eyeliner. It is rich and ultra creamy so I can spread it across my lower lash line with absolute ease. It doesn't drag at all so less chance of my eyes being irritated. I don't like this for adding flicks to the corners of my eyes. Although it feels ok applying it across the lash line, on my skin around my eyes, it feels a little stiff so I avoid this. Althought the colour transfer with one sweep is noticeable, it comes across as an almost dark grey colour and isn't really the look I want all the time. It does look ok and understated for day time wear. If I smooth a few layers across my lash line, the colour starts to come through a little more but never reaches a strong, pigmented level. I do find the Amazing Eyes Pencil offers more intense colour so I was a little annoyed that this one didn't provide a stronger result. The black colour is quite weak even with a few sweeps but is noticeable. The glittery aspect isn't all that noticeable. I usually apply a shimmery eyeshadow and this brings out a small, subtle glittery shimmer if the light catches it. Overall, I do feel the colour isn't intense enough for long nights out as it is quite weak and starts to disappear a few hours after application. Whilst there is no irritation from using this eyeliner, I find if a use a few coats across my lash line, there is a heavy feel to my lash line. I would rather I could see but not feel my eyeliner but this feels a little gritty so that is a major downside for me. As the colour gradually weakens, there is rarely much colour to remove at the end of the day or night. Any residue is minimal but I find a quick sweep of eye makeup remover liquid is sufficient to take the colour off. It isn't very water proof as runny eyes or contact with water results in smudging. {Conclusion} Whilst I like the design and creamy consistency of this Metallic Eyeliner, the black shade is not strong enough for me to use this on a regular basis. The creamy nib starts to dissolve quickly and breaks easily when sharpening which means I am wasting more than I am actually using. Really, I cannot recommend this eyeliner pencil but do not be put off No7 because of one product. I recommend the Amazing Eyes Pencil at the same price but with better results. Thanks for reading :)

Five out of five stars- I would recommend trying this

Boots No7 Metallic Eye Pencil I do tend to wear make-up on a mostly daily basis, and I usually always wear some sort of an eye liner, I would almost classify it as an essential make-up item for me. I often for during the day or when I am in a hurry chose to not wear any eye shadow, but instead just going for a touch of eye liner and some mascara. I am a big fan of the Boots No 7 skin care and make-up products and I own a few different shades of their metallic eye liner pencil (in particular the green, purple and blue shade) from the range. One of the very first things I noticed about this was that the pencil was very soft so it was easy to apply this and get a smudged or blended look, which is something I usual prefer. I do like an eye liner that can create a harder more defined look but for every day wear I find that a softer more subtle eye liner looks better on me. Also, because you don't need to go for precision with this eyeliner you can apply it a lot quicker and just blend any mistakes away with either your finger or smudger brush. The pencil is nice to hold and easy to maintain, because it is so soft it is very easy to sharpen, but it is also just as easy to use when this is blunt, particularly for smudged looks. The colours in this range are nice because they aren't very bright, the colours are quite subtle so they are suitable to wear all the time. I love the green because it only really adds a hint of colour rather than being completely noticeable that I am wearing green eyeliner, I also don't tend to apply this heavily. The colours available make a nice change from the usual black or brown that I find myself wearing all the time. These are from the metallic range but personally I don't think they look like anything I would associate with the word metallic, but they do have a nice shine to them when applied in a bold thick line. Personally, I find that these eye liners also have a pretty good staying power, as long as I don't forget I am wearing make-up and rub my eyes. When I apply this in the morning it is a little more smudged looking by night time but it still looks acceptable and a quick touch up usually has it looking fine again. This eye liner is also easy enough to remove with any face wash and I have never needed to use eye removal lotion to get it off, so great if you are feeling lazy. You will find these pencils at Boots No 7 counters typically retailing for £7.75. Personally, I think that this is pretty good value for money as they last for months at a time even when you are using them regularly. It is also worth keeping an eye out for any 3 for 2 offers or £5 off vouchers, which Boots often run on their No 7 range. This gets a five out of five star rating from me. I really like these eye liner pencils and I have and will continue to happily recommend them as I find them a great addition to my make up collection.

          Advantages

          Disadvantages

A great eye pencil that is effective at a low price

*Introduction* No 7 Metallic Eye Pencil is a product that I decided to buy with my £5 off No 7 voucher. In the past year I seem to have acquired a lot of different eye liners, be in liquid, gel or pencil versions but I figured with this one, what is the harm in one more. This, plus the fact that I would only have to contribute £2.50 to have it. Who said you can't get something for almost nothing? *About the Product* No7 Metallic Eye Pencils, if you're not sure about sparkly eyes, go for bright jewel-like colour instead. It's an easy way to get a party look in an instant! No7 Metallic Eye Pencils have a creamy super-soft formula and come in five gorgeous shades. Easy to apply, a quick and fun solution to party eye make-up, simply apply the pencil along the lash line as close to the lashes as possible (pull on the brow and eyelid to make this easier). *Application* Before applying this eye pencil, you should ensure that it is not blunt. This is very important because any time that I have tried to apply this eye pencil when it has been blunt, it has ended in misery and me removing my makeup and starting from the beginning. Now for the actual application. My tips for applying this product are to firstly close your eyelid and then pull the eyelid outward. Then line away. I find it easiest to begin lining at inside of my eyelid and follow to the outer eyelid and I try (although usually not particularly successfully) to keep the liner as close to the eyelashes as possible. And if you want your eyes to have that sultry and smoky look, then I find that if you just smudge gently and smoke out the liner, this pencil is effective at creating it. *Price and Availability* No 7 Metallic Eye Pencil is not widely available to buy for the simple reason that the No 7 brand is sold exclusively by Boots. If you prefer to shop online, don't have a Boots store close to you or you just can't get to one then you can also buy online at www.Boots.com. You can buy this eye liner for £7.50. Or you can be clever like me and buy it for just £2.50 of your own money. Now that is what I call excellent value for money. Even at its full price, No 7 Metallic Eye Pencil retails at a fair cost for its quality, longevity and brand name. *My Opinion* The Packaging: No 7 Metallic Eye Pencil does not come in lots of unnecessary packaging, just in its pencil form, as you would expect from the products name. It is a matt black lacquered wooden pencil which is approximately 16cm in length. It has a lid which sits on top to prevent the pencil point at the top which is the colour of your pencil. Also, at the bottom of the pencil is a small ring which has the colour of the pencil, and in my case this is purple. I am quite a fan of the dark packaging as it is has a bit of a mysterious look about it. The pencil is nice and compact and also slim, so that it can sit nicely in a small make up bag for when you are on the go, unlike the gel eye liners that you have to have a brush handy for also. Colour and texture: The colour of the eye liner is deep and quite bold so for those of you that like a subtle eye liner, then I am afraid that this is not the product for you. The colour of this eye pencil is so strong that it actually lasts throughout most of the day with almost perfect hold. Very impressive considering its low price. With these colours, there is slight metallic shimmer which I think works particularly well with the purple colour that I have. And it works excellently with my purple Chanel eye shadows so I'm a happy person with this purchase. Perhaps get the No 7 assistant to try this eye pencil on you before you buy it to see what you think. As for the texture, well it is surprisingly soft and creamy which means that it is easy and comfortable to use. It has a real smooth and velvety consistency which makes the pencil very easy to apply and it is gentle also. It is sometimes not as precise as you would like if you don't sharpen the pencil before use, but when it is, the results are almost as perfect as the most expensive eye pencils. Range of colours: No 7 offer six different shades ranging which are black, green, turquoise, blue, gold and purple. It is a fantastic range of quirky colours and in the collection, I'm sure you'll find a colour that you'll love. For me, it's the purple! J'adore! Staying power: No 7 Metallic Eye Pencil has rather good staying power. It lasts on my eyelid for almost 4-5 hours without having to reapply which for its low price, I think is quite brilliant. And this is probably better for most people as I am forever being told off for rubbing away at my eyes. I can't help that this is a bad habit of mine. Apparently I will have bags under my eyes because of this. Longevity of the product: Now this is probably one of the products weaker points. This eye pencil liner lasts a average time but not as long as most due to its very creamy texture which means that I am often re-sharpening the pencil which probably is also wasting more of the product that I would like. I have had this eye pencil approximately 3 months and have used it on a fairly regular basis although sometimes opted for my gel liner and it now has about a quarter of the pencil left, perhaps a little less. Ease of use: No 7 Metallic Eye Pencil is extremely simple to use. This pencil has a very soft and creamy texture which means you are forever having to sharpen the pencil but it also means that you don't need to pull hard at eye area to smooth out your eye lid or press hard when lining with the pencil. You won't come away having sore eyes after using this pencil, that is for sure. Simply glide the pencil along your eyelid with ease. Is it an easy way to get a party look in an instant? It most definitely is. The highly pigmented eye pencil has a metallic tint which instantly gives you that extra bit of sparkle to your eyes. And with the purple colour specifically, you can be wearing lots of eye shadow or none and this eye pencil will add something very special to your eyes. It is the perfect product to have stashed away in your make up bag so that if you unexpected decide to go out after work, you can add something to your appearance with very little effort. Does No7 Metallic Eye Pencils have a creamy super-soft formula? Yes it does which means that it is perfect for people who have sensitive eyes and do not wish to use a pencil that you will need to press hard against your eyelids. Is it easy to apply and a quick and fun solution to party eye make-up? It is very easy to apply to your eyes to get party make up but what I love just as much is how easy it is to remove at the end of the night. You just need to put some eye makeup remover onto a cotton pad, sweep it over your eye and it will be removed with ease. No rubbing vigorously at your eye area is required! *Would I Recommend This Product?* No 7 Metallic Eye Pencil is a superb product that retails at such a fair price. If you are looking for a highly pigmented eye pencil whose bold colour is long-lasting throughout the day or night, then I would certainly recommend this one. And also if you wish to find one which you don't need to press hard to your eyelid. Should you want an eye pencil that can give an effective classic or sultry eyed look then I think that this might be the one for you. Especially if you don't want to pay the high costs for designer brands. I particularly recommend it if you are looking for an eye pencil specifically for evening wear as its metallic tint is perfect for that special something that you are looking for. *Overall* On the whole, No 7 Metallic Eye Pencil is certainly one that is effective and at a reasonably good price therefore I would have to say that I am pleased with my purchase. The No 7 brand has yet again proven that despite its not so popular name, it is still one of the best for fair-priced make up. This product is high in quality, has a superb range of colours and is very easy to apply. It is an excellent product which lasts a long time on your eyes however doesn't last so long in sharpness of the point. I personally think that No 7 Metallic Eye Pencil is more for night use than day but I am one of these people that eye liner has an instant impact on due to my small eyes but for others it will be perfect for use during the day and night.

            Advantages

            Disadvantages

I didn't like this product. There are better alternatives out there.

These eyeliners normally retail for £7.75 but I had a £5 off NO 7 voucher and so decided as it was the party season to try one of the metallic liners. I chose the metallic purple. The pencil itself has quite a thick nib compared to other liners but it does go on quite easily. It is a dark colour - not sure people would know I was wearing purple unless they really studied it. Would probably asume it was a normal black eye liner. As for being metallic, well I couldn't notice that at all! Possibly the paler metallic liners would have been better for this but I will not be purchasing any more of these as the worst thing was that I found it really smudged and I had big panda eyes after wearing. The liner is easy to sharpen - best not to do it when warm - or keep in fridge first as otherwise the liner part makes a real mess of your sharpener. It is a good length and would last a long time if using daily. Wanting the effect of a metallic liner I have since tried Rimmel waterproof liners. These are a much better price, don't smudge and are metallic. I now have the purple, green and turquoise. If you are going to try the boots liner - make sure you have a £5 of voucher first!

              Sparkling eyes with ease!!

I am absolutely rubbish at applying liquid eyeliner, and get highly jealous of anyone who manages to use the gorgeous metallic shades and have that gorgeous dramatic line swept across their upper lashes. If you have the same problem as me..... never fear No 7 is here! Boots own brand have created a really cute range of metallic eye pencils to problem solve for unsteady handed people like me. Found in even your smallest Boots make up aisles - the little black pencils come in 5 different shades: - Gold Green Turqoise Blue Purple Inside, the actualy nib of the pencil is really soft and creamy, and when sharpened to a point it is so easy to sweep it across your eyelids to get that glam party effect without ruining the rest of your make up with the tricky liquid stuff. You just need to hold on to the skin just below your eyebrow and lift it slightly - just enough to tighten the skin of your upper eyelid. Sweep the pencil across your lid as close to your eyelashes as possible and your done! Easy!! Ive tried to turqoise and the gold version - the gold is quite subtle, and when blended with some brown eyeshadows its even suitable for nice day time make up. The turquoise one is more dramatic and looks awesome on a night out! They are £7 each to buy - but ive bought mine when Boots have the make up offer on where if you spend over £10 in store you get a £5 No7 voucher - that way you get to buy it for £2! Bargain! The good news is - Boots have that offer on at the minute too!! Head down to Boots and grab yourself one of these... theyre easy to apply, you will never spill them, and because its a pencil it last for ages (with a good sharpen!!!).

Too pale to be used as an eyeliner

The item in this range I am going to review is the green pencil. I bought this as I have bought lots of number 7 makeup in the past and have always been satisfied with it. I'm not keen at all on the pencil as it never shows up when applied! Even when I apply it thickly it can hardly be seen and my friends don't even realise I'm wearing it. I just think that this shade is a bit too pale and light to be used as an eyeliner. It is okay for the tops of the eyes when used in conjunction with eyeshadow as it has a 'smudger' on the other end of it, but for use as a general eyeliner it is near enough useless. The eyeliner is not too expensive at less than £10, but seeing as I hardly use mine this has been a bit of a waste of money. Aesthetically, the eyeliner looks nice and attractive as far as eyeliners go.

                Advantages

                Disadvantages

A great addition to your make up bag!

The other day whilst in Boots I remembered I had a £5.00 off Ruby & Millie or No7 make up (to be used in Boots) and when I looked in my purse to check I had it I actually had four of them so I decided to use one up and treat myself to something. One of my favourite make up brands for quality is Boots No7. At 35 years old nowadays I like somewhat sensible make-up. I don't like the mutton dressed as lamb look and tend to keep my make up rather plain but I do like one item of something a bit different and modern and one way of doing that is by using an eyeliner that is bright and fun. Although Boots No7 do this range of more fun colours they don't skimp on quality and I still want a polished look on my face and to not appear clown like lol! The Pencil Itself: Long and matt black the long plastic lid is the colour of your chosen colour in plastic. In silver writing to the middle of the pencil I'm told it's No7 Metallic Eyes Pencil and the colour is stated (in this case it's 02 Turquoise). Then around the back of the pencil I'm told it's 'Soft & creamy, long lasting pencil glides on for maximum colour intensity and I'm told that it's hypo-allergenic and the Boots website detail is listed (www.boots.com/no7) and contact details for Boots are given and finally at one end of the pencil it is colour coded. It's a nice slim pencil, of great length and at the usual cost of £7.00 per pencil I think it offers good value for money (even better at the price I paid which was £2.00 lol). Using It: Well this is a fabulous eye liner make no bones about it. When you first pull off the lid of course it's pointed. It's easy to sharpen as it doesn't have conventional wood but it is smooth and black and as I say it is easy to sharpen. The colour comes off with ease onto the eyes. Perfect for framing and you don't have to press hard at all. Just glide it to define shape. Now my colour which is turquoise as I mentioned before is very highly pigmented with colour and although it has a metallic hue it isn't in your face bright or too silvery. It's simply a rich, deep colour with a glossiness to it. I find this very easy to store, use and sharpen and the longevity of this once on is great. I can apply this in the morning and it's still there perfect in the evening without losing it's colour intensity or any smudging or transference going on. The only small issue with this is that because it's so creamy and easy to apply (though it doesn't come off too thick or anything like that!) it does need sharpening rather often and run down with ease but saying that if you don't want a really defined shape then it's fine but for real definition I suggest a quick sharpen before you use it each time. Verdict: Great collection of colours and none agitating this stays put and is very simple to remove (just your usual make up removal will do) and all round it's a really good way of updating your look without being way out. I was looking at these eye pencils and had on a similar No7 eye liner in this colour though it wasn't this metallic version. A lady I was talking to quickly glanced at these and I said they were nice and I was considering buying one. She said they too way out for her and I pointed out it's no so different to the one I had on my eyes and showed it to her to which she quickly purchased one of these! They can be made to look dramatic but I even way mine in the day, subtly! An excellent product and I'm so impressed and can't wait to collect the other colours from within this range and use the other vouchers on them that are in my purse! The Colours in this range are: Green Turquoise Blue Gold Purple Only available in Boots. This review is also posted on Ciao under this same username.

                  Disadvantages

Creamy, long - lasting eye pencil, which glides on easily.

The Boots No 7 eye metalic eye pencils are brilliant and I would recommend them to anyone for daytime or evening. There are a variety of shades: purple, blue, gold, green and turquoise, all of which I own. The shades of the colours are very sophisticated and do not look cheap in the slightest, which I have found with other brand's coloured eye pencils e.g. Rimmel. The eyeliner is just like any ordinary one in terms of how you use it, however, it is a lot thicker than most others and very easy to sharpen with a sharpener, as it does not crack or splinter like some can. For day wear, the eye pencil works well if you wear it as an eyeshadow, as it easily glides over the whole of your eyelid and then drawing a line, as you would with other eyeliners under the eye; a bit of mascara will finish this look. Alternatively, find a similar shade as the eye pencil (I use the no 7 eye creme) and apply that to the eyelids, whilst only using the eye pencil underneath the eye, again finishing with mascara. In the evenings, I tend to apply a similar shade to the eyeliner of eyeshadow on the eyelids, then adding the eyeliner all over the eyelid, on top of the eyeshadow. I then apply a thick line underneath the eye, finishing with liquid black eyeliner (the Prestige range of liquid eyeliner's is great) and mascara. The great thing about this eyeliner is that no matter how much you rub your eyes, the colour still stays on. Usually at the end of a night out, I find that all of my eyeshadow has vanished from my eyes, but using this eyeliner as eyeshadow ensures that this does not happen. The creamy texture of the eyeliner ensures that it glides on easily so that you have the option to use it as an eyeshadow. All no 7 products are also hypo-allergenic, meaning that you have very sensitive skin, you will still be able to use it. The pencil itself is black, with the lid and the bottom of the pencil the same colour as the shade of the eyeliner e.g. purple. No 7 Metallic Eyes Pencil is written along the pencil in gold, making it stand out from the black background. Obviously the price is a bit steep (£7.00), with similar products costing only 3 - 4 pounds, however, I have found that these products are no where near as good, so it is definately worth spending the extra money on something which does last for a long time. There are also always deals on No 7 products in Boots stores, for example sometimes they give away free £5.00 no 7 vouchers when you spend over £5.00 in store, meaning that you can get this eye pencil for just £2.00. Overall, an amazing product which is well worth the money!

                  Advantages

                  Disadvantages

A good eye pencil which has a nice metallic colour.

As I had previously tried the No7 Amazing Eye Pencil I thought I would give the Metallic Eyes Pencil a go. There are 5 colours in total in the range which are Green, Turquoise, Blue, Gold and Purple. I decided on Purple as it looked a nice shade and didn't look too obvious a colour so I would be easily able to wear this shade during the day. The gold shade also looked good and would be perfect to wear on a night out to give my eyes a bit more sparkle. This eye pencil is priced at £7.00 and I realised that I had a make up voucher that gave you £5.00 off the No7 range so this helped cut the cost down considerably. At full price this item is a little expensive but it does work quite well. The pencil looks the same as your average eye pencil but has a slightly thicker nib. The colour glides very easily along the eye and the purple colour that I chose is not too strong a colour but still makes your eyes stand out. I think to get the proper metallic look gold or green may be a better choice as the purple is a little dark to get the full effect. Once again like the Amazing Eyes pencil I was worried about sharpening it so I followed the same tip my friend at work gave me which was to put the eye pencil in the freezer (again not for too long) so that the pencil isn't soft when you start sharpening. This way the pencil doesn't break up as you sharpen. The tip from my friend worked perfectly and the eye pencil was just like new. I would have to say that this is a good eye pencil but can be a bit smudgy when I apply it. So I still prefer the No7 Amazing Eyes, I think it is a slightly better pencil beause it looks a little neater once applied. Like I said earlier it may be best to wait until you get a £5.00 off voucher and that way you only pay £2.00. All in all for the price I paid it is still a good product and I would recommend it.

                    Disadvantages

A great eye liner in a choice of colours

These amazing eye pencils came out within the last two months along with other festive products such as a glitter liquid eye liner from No7. I own a metallic pencil in green and purple. When reading that, I am guessing to many people those colours sound ever so slightly crazy! Well the green one I have purchased to wear over Christmas for a few parties and have tried it on and it is not over powering or too bright. The purple liner is a very dark purple and when I apply it the colour looks very blackish with a hint of purple. So if you are looking for a vibrant purple colour then this is not for you. If however, like me you are looking for an eye liner that at first glances appears to be black but with a little more to it, then this is for you. Each pencil is black, with the colour of the pencil on the end and the lid. They also have this pencil in blue, gold, turquoise as well as the ones I own. When I bought mine they were £7, but may have dropped a few pence since the vat dropped. The pencil is very soft and really glides on easily. It is easy to apply evenly and lasts all day. I rarely re-apply any make up, besides lip gloss during the day and today for instance I put it on around 8am and now 11 hours later it is still on. I have used the purple liner with browns and coral eye shadows and it looks lovely with both.
