Advantages: Nice packaging, good range of colours, hypo-allergenic, long-lasting.

Disadvantages: Quite expensive

The Boots No 7 eye metalic eye pencils are brilliant and I would recommend them to anyone for daytime or evening. There are a variety of shades: purple, blue, gold, green and turquoise, all of which I own. The shades of the colours are very sophisticated and do not look cheap in the slightest, which I have found with other brand's coloured eye pencils e.g. Rimmel.

The eyeliner is just like any ordinary one in terms of how you use it, however, it is a lot thicker than most others and very easy to sharpen with a sharpener, as it does not crack or splinter like some can. For day wear, the eye pencil works well if you wear it as an eyeshadow, as it easily glides over the whole of your eyelid and then drawing a line, as you would with other eyeliners under the eye; a bit of mascara will finish this look. Alternatively, find a similar shade as the eye pencil (I use the no 7 eye creme) and apply that to the eyelids, whilst only using the eye pencil underneath the eye, again finishing with mascara. In the evenings, I tend to apply a similar shade to the eyeliner of eyeshadow on the eyelids, then adding the eyeliner all over the eyelid, on top of the eyeshadow. I then apply a thick line underneath the eye, finishing with liquid black eyeliner (the Prestige range of liquid eyeliner's is great) and mascara.

The great thing about this eyeliner is that no matter how much you rub your eyes, the colour still stays on. Usually at the end of a night out, I find that all of my eyeshadow has vanished from my eyes, but using this eyeliner as eyeshadow ensures that this does not happen. The creamy texture of the eyeliner ensures that it glides on easily so that you have the option to use it as an eyeshadow. All no 7 products are also hypo-allergenic, meaning that you have very sensitive skin, you will still be able to use it.

The pencil itself is black, with the lid and the bottom of the pencil the same colour as the shade of the eyeliner e.g. purple. No 7 Metallic Eyes Pencil is written along the pencil in gold, making it stand out from the black background.

Obviously the price is a bit steep (£7.00), with similar products costing only 3 - 4 pounds, however, I have found that these products are no where near as good, so it is definately worth spending the extra money on something which does last for a long time. There are also always deals on No 7 products in Boots stores, for example sometimes they give away free £5.00 no 7 vouchers when you spend over £5.00 in store, meaning that you can get this eye pencil for just £2.00.

Overall, an amazing product which is well worth the money!

Summary: Creamy, long - lasting eye pencil, which glides on easily.
