There are just some reviews that are almost too painful to write as they are an untimely reminder of that cruellest of Life's little unpleasant surprises...Age!

Yes folk, 'Age'.

It creeps up on us unwittingly and before you know it your skin becomes more crape than smooth, more elasticated than taut; and you become aware than make starts to 'stray' across you face rather than stay put were it was painted on, "Tut"!

Once upon a time I could slick my lippy on with gay abandon - I didn't have the worry of tiny little spidery lines of creeping pigment seeping into the miniscule valleys departing from my mouth to foreign parts - like my upper lip and lower dimpled chin!

So you can see where I'm going with this then...

Straight to Boots to buy a decent quality neat lip liner than will make my errant lip colours stay put and pucker up on my cherry coloured lips!

It was only a few years ago now that I started wearing a product that designed to add definition to one's outer lip contours, plus aid the task of making lipstick stay put where it belongs on the cotton pickin' LIPS!!

My item of choice at the time was a cheaper Rimmel cosmetic in a pretty pink; however the pencil itself was a harsh playmate and felt like it was gouging my delicate skin far too much.
Therefore my second choice was far wiser although it costs considerably more than the aforementioned cheaper brand, as I went for the aptly named no7 'Perfect Lip Pencil' with the 05 Plum shade.

I never looked back from this purchase as the quality was superb compared to the less expensive names I had tried and failed with...

Recently Boots have started a promotion that they regularly run of you gaining a voucher for £5 off No7 products when you spend £5 on general item in store, thus I treated myself to new pencil for the princely sum of £6.75 less my discount.
For a pencil that lasts for months even at full price it is worth the money, as you get a slender tipped product that glides on without dragging the skin and is hypoallergenic too.

Encased in a pink plastic tubing about 5" long including the lid, my Plum colour is in a matte finish and the liner itself once twisted from the slender tube is only around 2" in length - but you know what they say it's not the length that counts it's what you do with it!

Described as 'Soft and smooth moisturising pencil for ultimate lip definition' I can concur that all Boots claim about this cosmetic little wonder are true.

Made in England and including a sharpener in the lid to aid the pencil maintaining a sharp point, this is a great little addition to many a makeup bag - it glides on effortlessly and looks really good, giving a clean crisp line to follow when applying your actual lipstick or coloured gloss.

I wouldn't be without mine; it is kind to my skin and does give perfect definition, and more importantly stops all seepage into areas of the outer mouth where you really don't want pigment seeping as it can look really unsightly.

For me this no7 Perfect Lips Pencil is an essential nowadays in my cosmetics array, and the great thing is you only need one application as it really does stay put all day!

When I am out I renew my lippy and gloss often but I have always have an outline to guide me that is almost indelible even after eating - fabulous!

5 Dooyoo lip-lined stars undoubtedly from me. I am a huge fan of the No7 range anyway but this is definitely one of their better cosmetic offerings and one I can heartily recommend to anyone who uses this type of thing as there is no uncomfortable dragging of the skin...
