A great brush for even powdering

The Boots No.7 range is a range of their own brand make up and beauty products. They do a lovely range of make up brushes at quite a good price. You can spend a fortune on make up brushes, £20 plus in some cases for just one brush so its nice to find a range of brushes that are good and affordable. This brush is not only for the face its for the body as well so it's quite a multi-functional brush and at £11 I think that's a good price for a, "one brush will do it all," brush.

The brush is small and kind of reminds me of a gentlemans face brush that they use to put on shaving foam at a posh shave shop. It has a little round base that forms the handle of the brush and then the short bristles come out of the brush base from there. The bristles are probably only about 5cm long all the way around although it is slightly rounded at the top to be able to give you that lovely smooth sweeping motion. The base of the brush is black and has No 7 written on it and the bristles on the brush are black too.

The bristles themselves are made of fine quality natural hair and are really quite soft. If you sweep it across your hand you can feel how soft they are and so its nice to know that they are being soft on your face too. The thing I like about this brush is that it has a really big surface area so you really feel like you are covering your whole face with just a couple of sweeps compared to flat little brushes that you really need to be an expert to use to get the powder into the right place. Also, the fact that the bristles are short and close to the handle means that you have more control over where the brush goes and I like the fact that it is easy to hold and manoeuver.

I use this brush in a number of ways. I dab it onto my Clinique compact to cover my face with foundation as I do not like to use the little puff that comes with the Clinique foundation. I find I get much better coverage and a really natural look by using this brush with the beige powder on it. Secondly I have some really nice shimmer powders that I use for a night out. I use this brush to add shimmer to not only my chest but my arms as well and again can achieve a really natural look that will attract the light but not look like I am a human glitter ball.

A nice brush for a number of different beauty applications.
