~Save your blushes with a No7 Kabuki Brush~
***********************************
The compact and easy to use Boots No7 Ultimate Body and Face Brush is something that I have found really usefu,l as it is well made and has nice soft bristles that don't drag against the skin. The brush is a kabuki style product that has a really short gun metal coloured handle on it, which is just the right width and depth to be able to be handled with ease during use. The No7 branding is very subtle and the look and feel of this brush is of a quality product. I like the way that this brush manages to hold a nice amount of powder when I use it, without any powder dropping off and ending up on areas where the powder isn't wanted.
~Using the brush~
**************
I have used this brush on a regular basis and found it to be durable and well made with it still having lots of nice soft bristles on it even after a lot of use. The feel of these natural hair bristles is quite soft and easy to work with and they don't tend to scratch your skin even when using the brush on delicate areas such as under the eyes etc. I have had other similar brushes in the past, some of which have been big name/ branded products such as Elizabeth Arden etc, but my feeling is that this little No7 kabuki brush is much better. Many of the other brushes I have used have caused a slightly uncomfortable scratchy feel on the skin during use, but I am happy to say this is not the case with this No7 brush. I have used the brush to apply highlighter powders to good effect, as well as for blusher and to set my foundation with a light dusting of translucent powder, with it working well each time I have used it.
I was very lucky when I bought 2 of these brushes quite some time ago (when Boots where re-branding the packing that the brushes came in) as I picked up my 2 brushes for just £1 each which was an absolute bargain as far as I am concerned. The brushes where simply packed in to newer clear plastic boxes after my purchase but the basic brush itself still remains exactly the same in terms of its form, look and materials used. The natural bristles on this brush can be washed and cleaned with a light shampoo and rinse every now and then and then allowed to dry with a little help from a hairdryer if wanted. This works well and has not caused any harm to the brushes that I can see.
~Price and rating~
**************
The usual sale price of these brushes is around £11 now which I know is not inexpensive, yet this is still a mid range price for a nice quality kabuki brush. As this brush can be used in so many ways as a general powder brush, a blusher brush or a highlighter brush I feel it has plenty to offer and should I need to replace either of my brushes in future I would most certainly consider another one from the same range. Best prices are to be had when Boots have their £5 off No7 promo vouchers on offer which would make the cost of this brush a much nicer £6. I feel that £6 is very good value for this product. As I have had no issues with this brush at all and am still using the 2 I bought I feel that a product rating of 5 stars is in order.
Summary: A good make up brush
