Recently I've been trying different ways of applying my foundation, just because I wanted to see which effect I liked best. I gave this sponges a try, seeing as we get told to use them at college, as they are a more hygienic way of applying foundation. I have combination skin I wanted to see if it would effect my breakouts that I get quite often. These little sponges are in the shape of wedges and you get four in a pack. They feel very soft to the touch and very lightweight. I found these sponges very useful, they were very soft against my skin and caused no irritation and found when my foundation when on a lot more smoothly and effortlessly, which ... I love my sleep and have a commute of over an hour to work which means I have to get up early. This inevitably means I have to do my make up on the tube (classy girl that I am). One major problem with this is that was getting foundation all over the palms of my hands, which doesn't look great when you are hosting external meetings first thing and have to shake hands with people. The obvious solution to this (other than getting out of bed early enough to do my makeup before I leave the house) was to use something other than my hand to put it on. I went into Boots to investigate and found these cosmetic wedges. They are little sponges shaped into wedges and ... Read the complete review

~Cosmetic sponges from Boots~ ************************ These simple foam based cosmetic sponges are a product that I have bought and used in the past and found to be of a good quality. They come neatly packed and presented in a basic looking plastic hang bag that has been designed for ease of use, without any frills. You can find these sponges set amongst the make up brushes and accessories in a section which caters for many of the Boots range of make up accessory and nail care products. The texture of these budget priced cosmetic sponges is quite good in my opinion as they have a nice soft and smooth texture with a degree of bounce to the foam based ... Read the complete review

I am a fan of the Boots no 7 range of make up and skin care as I think it is as good as many more expensive brands on the market. I have always used my fingers to apply foundation and have been happy with the results. Whilst away with a friend recently I noticed that she used a sponge to apply her foundation and so decided I would give this method try to see what difference it made. As I was unsure about whether I would like using a make up sponge I really didn't want to spend too much money on buying one! My local Boots had 2 options as part of their No7 range; either a multipack costing £4 or a cheaper pack of 4 wedge shaped sponges for £1.95. I opted for ... Read the complete review

I like to use a sponge to apply my eyeshadow, as I find the little applicators that come with eyeshadow can sometimes irritate the delicate skin on my eyelids. Using my fingers never quite gets an even covering, so a sponge is the answer. I chose to purchase the Boots Soft Cosmetic Sponge Wedges, as unlike other sponges I have had, they are shaped, and not just a rectangle. The shape of the sponges is such that they have a concave edge on one side, and convex on the other. They have sloping edges, which allow you to hold the sponge and easily apply and blend your make up for a prefect finish. The corners can be used to apply eyeshadow to the corners of the ...
