--BOURJOIS 10 HOUR SLEEP EFFECT FOUNDATION--

Make-up and I are best friends :) Like any other woman on the planet, I have stacks of it. Though probably not 'quite' as much as most other woman; Make-up is very expensive and its allure is so tempting every time I step foot inside a chemist. The chemist is my favourite of all shops and I can spend many hours perusing and lusting over all the delicious looking and eye catching pretty make-up products upon the shelves. I am fascinated with all kinds of make-up, though I don't normally bother with foundation. I have never worn it really, apart from when I was in the theatre and the thick feel and hot lights made me hate the feel that heavy foundation can induce.-


I am the pale interesting type;) and my complexion is very light, so in the winter my skin really does need some kind of colouring on it to stop me appearing anaemic. I usually brush a bronze blush over my face but I feel that it looks a little too dark for the winter months. So when I read a review on the Bourjois 10 hour sleep effect foundation, I really liked the sound of it and the fact that it was extremely light upon the skin was just what I was after. It also said that it will give you a fresh, rested complexion as if you have had a good ten hours sleep! Great claims indeed. I 'Never' get 10 hours sleep, so I was interested to see what my skin would look like after applying this miracle base. -


--BOURJOIS 10 HOUR SLEEP EFFECT FOUNDATION--

The product comes in a slim, beige round container which is 4 and half inches high. The lid is a clear beige plastic also and this matches the colouring of the main body of the product. Upon the lid is displayed the colour of this product, which in my case is number 73 and this is described as Beige Clair. This colour appealed to me because of its medium colouring that is neither too dark nor too light and it looked just about perfect for my skin colour. The writing upon the container is complimentary in its colouring and the whole look and colour of the product tells you that this is a foundation. The casing is quite plain and no nonsense which is a little disappointing for a Bourjois product I felt. The weight is 30 ml and this foundation is oil free and dermatologically tested and contains vitamin E - F and B5 and it also contains a vitamin enriched formula. -


--THE PRODUCT--

The 10 hour sleep foundation has a pump down white top, which when pressed down, dispenses quite a good amount. The foundation is quite loose and free running and it has a really nice beige, creamy colour to it, also you don't need to use a lot of this to obtain complete coverage of the face It blends very easily into the skin, without the need for dragging it to ensure a good coverage and I even used it under the delicate eye area without the need for too heavy a rubbing in. The coverage is very even and neat looking from this product and it does seem to have light diffusing properties which mask and disguise fine lines. The appearance of my skin, after using 10 hour sleep effect did give it an even and quite natural look. I liked the light feel of it upon my skin after I had applied it and I also liked the ease of application of the foundation which glided on very easily and blended quickly. The colour that I chose was just right for me with a nice beige glow. Did it make me look as if I had had 10 hours sleep? Well I don't know about that because I have never had that much sleep. I sleep 4 hours a night and that's all I need. What it did do was to leave my skin looking fresh, natural, revived and rested. So I suppose it had done the job it claimed. -


--SUMMARY--

Bourjois 10 hour sleep effect foundation is great! I really like it and it does appear to do what it states, in giving the skin a rested and revived appearance. It's lovely and light upon the skin and does give it the appearance of looking slightly younger also. I liked the light, pretty perfume to it too. The foundation is non oily, so you don't get that greasy look when the skin gets hot. There is no shine to the face and the foundation remains quite matt looking. It lasts all day and if going out at night I would say re-apply this just so it looks nice and fresh. I bought my container of this from Ebay at a much reduced price of £3.49 NEW. To purchase from a shop it will cost you roughly £8.00. The Bourjois 10 hour sleep effect foundation is available in five shades so there is bound to be one to suit your skin tone. Definitely Recommended - 9/10. -
