Bourjois Coup De Theatre Mascara
This is quite an old mascara that I purchased due to the marketing spiel of the unique double ended and black and white false lash effect advertisement. It is made by Bourjois who are a brand that I have a few make-up items from but are not my favourite make-up product manufacturer.
The mascara comes as it is on the shelf. The product is a long plastic tube that is circular and thins in the centre to create a curved shape. The tube has two screw off ends, one is white coloured and one is black coloured with a central holder. The central bar has the Bourjois branding on and the title 'Coup de Theatre Mascara'. On opening each end inside is a nice long mascara wand and brush, the brushes have quite wide diagonal aligned bristles twirled around the bottom of each of the wands.
This mascara is applied in two steps. Act 1 - I lengthen my lashes to infinity. This is done using the white end of the mascara. The product looks a bit like Tipp-Ex, it is a thick white gloopy liquid, but it doesn't totally turn your lashes white! This white side is supposed to lengthen your lashes. The shape and style of brush does make sure that my lashes are divided and lengthened when applied which gives them a more defines look.
Act 2 - I dress my lashes divinely - The second step is to use the black end of the mascara which is meant to give your lashes volume and colour. This has a nice glossy black liquid appearance on the brush. The mascara coats your lashes in a dark black colour, hiding any of the leftover white liquid. I don't find that this adds any more volume to my lashes from using the first brush, my lashes look quite long and defined but it doesn't add any fullness or volume to them from what I can tell.
The mascara is very easy to use and doesn't really take up any more time to apply than a single mascara wand. However I don't think the results really warrant two steps worth of application. I feel that this is more a novelty make-up item than brilliant false lash effect mascara.
Overall I haven't and wouldn't buy this mascara again, Bourjois have since released a more updated looking Coup De Theatre mascara which may be vastly improved but in my opinion there are much better single step mascaras on the market which give better results for the same or cheaper price. This is available in Boots, Superdrug and online at beauty retailers and costs £9.49 at full price.
~ Why I Bought It ~
I bought this mascara mainly because it was on offer at the time and I thought it'd be worth trying. Boirjois is not a brand that I am very familiar with and this is my first Bourjois product. I have to say that I am a little let down and I had expected it to be a lot better than it actually is considering the retail price of it, but then again it's useable so I can't complain too much!
~ Price ~
I paid around £6 for mine and the retail price is around £9.50 which I think is quite expensive considering that most other brands which are better quality are only around £7 or £8. Because of the price I expected a premium quality product, but it is nothing special.
~ My Opinion ~
The first thing that drew me to this product was the design of the tube - it is double ended with 6ml of product each end. One end has a white lid and the other has a black lid and the bit in between with the product name etc written on it is also black. The white end should obviously be used first.
This says on it 'I lengthen my lashes to infinity' and it is obviously supposed to lengthen your lashes. I have to say though I am unimpressed because although it does lengthen my lashes it leaves them with a heavy feeling and they look like spider legs! The black end says 'I dress my lashes devinely'.
This end is for adding volume and obviously colour. The colour is an intense black and the formula itself is quite runny with a wet, greasy feeling to it. It does lift my lashes and adds a minuscule amount of volume to them, however they still look too spider leg-like for my liking and again it makes them feel heavy and weighed down and the overall look is not even as good as something that I can easily achieve with one of my other, cheaper mascaras that aren't as fiddly as a two in one mascara.
The mascara brushes themselves are pretty well designed. The fibres are soft but sturdy. The brush on the white end is longer and the bristles are stubbier than the bristles on the black end. The black end has one side of long, well separated bristles and one side with stubby close together bristles. The mascara formula as I mentioned before is quite runny and it also has a noticeable smell to it which reminds me a little of the smell of nail varnish.
The lasting power of the mascara isn't very good. I'd say on average it only takes about three or four hours before it starts to flake and it smudges very easily. On a positive note though it is relatively easy to remove.
~ All in All ~
Not a mascara I will ever be repurchasing. It makes my lashes look like spider legs even with the black vilumising coat and it feels heavy on my lashes. The lasting power is dire too and I certainly wouldn't recommend it.
I am quite fussy with mascara and I often use two or even three different mascaras at one time because I find it very difficult to find one product that both lengthens and volumises at the same time. I bought the Coup de Theatre by Bourjois because it claimed to do both of these things. Sceptical but hopeful I purchased the product, crossed my fingers and hoped for the best.
How does it work?
Bourjois claim that this product contains a lash lengthening base coat and a volumising coat mixed together. The mascara contains Nylon to thicken the lashes right up to the end and a specially moulded application brush allows the mascara to perform the two jobs simultaneously.
How do you use the product?
The product is to be applied in the same way as a normal mascara. It should be applied to the lashes in a zig zag motion to avoid any clumping.
Packaging and Price
The product comes in a cool zebra style zig zag black and white tube which is thinner at the top than at the bottom which I assume is to represent the thickening and volumising aspect of the product... But I may be looking too deeply in that! The brush is long and thin with lots of bristles.
The product costs around £7 for 9ml. The product can be bought from Shops like Boots and Superdrug, from large supermarkets and also from a variety of online websites.
The mascara is easy to apply because it has so many bristles. It ensures that there is no clumping and that each lashes gets a decent coverage. This mascara seems to give quite a natural result that would be appropriate for daywear or for work. The only other Bourjois mascara that I have owned has been their clubbing one so I think I was expecting more extreme results.
The product is quite lengthening and it makes your lashes look longer and healthier. The thickening aspect is quite good but not as good as the lengthening so I still find my self reaching for a different mascara to get some thickness so it failed there in my opinion.
The product is fairly dark but not as black as I would like. It has good staying power and doesn't flake off during the day so there is no need to worry about looking like a tired panda by the end of the day. The product is easily removed using your usual cleanser.
All in all, if you are looking for a natural and subtle enhancement of what you've got then you might like this. I would never wear this somewhere special or on a night out but it's nice enough for work. I don't think the results are intense enough for my liking but then I am very particular about my mascaras!
I have the newer version of this mascara which dooyoo does not seem to have. It gives a brillant coverage of your lashes so each lash is extended. You get an almost false lash effect with this mascara. It costs about £8ish but I feel it is worth the money.
I am not particularly loyal to one particular brand of make up however this is one I find myself coming back to for it's lengthening properties.
I love the black and white aspect of this mascara I think it looks great and looks really classy too. As you may know already it is split into 2 plastic sections, well 3 really you have your middle with the 2 wands then your lash fibres in one pot amd the colour in another pot.
Long slender and good looking tube of mascara, the brushes, well the white fibre brush is quite long and thin and the colour brush is quite short and a little fatter.
I think it is very easy to use, firstly apply your lash fibres, either one coat or 2 of the white stuff, I think in most cases one coat does suffice. No need stand there letting it dry just whack the colour on from the other side of the mascara and hey presto, definitely go for 2 coats of the black stuff though. And you're away.
The white fibres can be slightly clumpy but this does not pose a problem as it is not at all noticeable once colour is applied. With the actual colour brush being so short you have to spend a bit more time putting it on. I do not feel like it thickens a great deal but it does add length and uplift and gives a quite pretty effect. It does not look like false lashes though whatever it may claim. How can it, false lashes are huge unless you have really natural ones in which case it may be a similiar effect. I would not look at someone wearing this and think they had false eyelashes on however.
Price and availability-
Very widely available between £7-£10, I always get my mascaras off eBay as I do like the branded ones and it is therefore cheaper for me to purchase off the internet.
A very decent product but would like more thickening properties and a longer mascara colour brush please. Ta!
Its amazing how a little (or alot) of mascara can make. Just having a little bit of mascara on brightens up your eyes and make you look and feel amazing.
The Bourjois Coup de Theatre mascara claims to create a 'false lash' effect. It comes in two parts, one side for the length and the other for cover and volume. At the price range between £8.50 to £11.50 this can be seen as a pricey mascara, certainly when buying from the higher price range.
I love the idea of this product, having its two parts. It makes you more aware of the result as you apply each part. Of course applying one part before applying the next can be rather time consuming. The results from the lengthening side are pretty good and if I could I would buy 'that' side of the mascara seperate. Of course it can not be ignored that it is white! This can make applying the mascara as you have to make sure no white bits are showing on your lashes! Im not sure whether Bourjois should have put this as two seperate products for this product as one of the main disadvantages has got to be the time consuming part. Next is of course the price.
Personally I do think the product works but had to stop buying it because of the above negatives. I like the mascara wands that this mascara comes with and they do compliment each other. I found that when applying this mascara to my eyes, they did not clump and only did so when I was pretty near the end of the tubes.
Overall I would say this is a good product and would recommend it to people to maybe have it as their second mascara and definately not for everyday wear. Also if you buy it, shop around in order to get the best price as the top price range would make the product too expensive and not worth it in my eyes.
I generally like Bourjois products and find them all to be quite good however I was not a fan of this mascara as I did not think it was anything special. I was let down as I was really excited to try it but it isn't very good.
---- The Packaging ----
Coup De Theatre Mascara has black and white packaging which makes the mascara really pretty looking. I also felt that because it was black and white it stood out more than other mascaras on the shelf. The packaging has white spirals on it which made it look quite chic and modern.
---- The Product ----
Coup de Theatre Mascara claims to give you the false lash affect by applying a base coat (white mascara) and then going over the base coat with a black mascara.
You just apply the white mascara to clean lashes and wait for it to dry a little and then you apply the black mascara. It does give eyelashes a little volume and lift but I don't see the 'false lash' effect that it claims to give you.
I found that after you had applied the white mascara it was hard to cover up all the white bits on your eyelashes with the black topcoat mascara. This product also gives you spidery, gunky looking lashes or it did mine. I also found that as the day progressed that the mascara started to flake off my lashes onto the rest of my face. It also made my eyes sing if worn for a while.
In my opinion this is just an ordinary mascara that doesn't do anything very special for your eyelashes.
---- The Price ----
It costs around £8.80 for this mascara which I feel is a little bit of a rip off as there are much better and cheaper mascaras on the market.
Before I start- ** My mascara is the newer version of this, I asked Dooyoo to add it to the catalogue but they said I should write my review here **
So my mascara is the 2 in 1 version of Coup de Theatre, using only one brush and therefore cutting out the hassle of the white basecoat before the black mascara.
The bottle is the same shape as the one in the pic thought obviously not double ended, it is black and white striped and I must admit this is what first attracted me to it amongst the sea of mascaras in Boots, it looks pretty!
Coup de Theatre 2 in 1 mascara retails at around £8.99 RRP but when I bought it about 3 months ago Boots had it on an introductory promotion at £6.99, I dont usually spend this on mascara but it was one of my first nights out with my new boyfriend and I wanted to look my best for him :)
* False lash effect.
* Length + volume.
Sounded perfect to me so in my basket it went.
I have dark and quite long eyelashes anyway so really wanted my eyes to stand out hence looking for a false lash effect mascara.
This mascara is only available in black or 'noir' it being Bourjois!
So the night had come, big night out with my gorgeous new fella!
I unscrewed the black and white lid and applied a coat to my lashes, instantly they were coated with a thick black liquid and looked tonned longer and fuller, no exageration!
It's quite a liquidy mascara so don't blink after you've just applied it or you will end up with eyelashes on your cheeks! it takes about a minute to dry completely and then it's easy to apply a second and even a third coat and absolutley no clumping occurs.
It is blackest of black which is just what I was looking for so another tick in the box!
The brush is really narrow so different to my old favourite No7 mascaras but no harder to apply, the narrowness actually makes it easier to apply to my bottom lashes without ending up with smudges under my eyes.
It is not waterproof (fingers crossed they'll bring that out next) but it doesnt smudge easily in the rain or if you itch your eyes etc.
On the bottle it says it will stay fresh for 6 months.
The mascara is 9ml, slightly smaller than some others on the market but it's lasting me long enough.
All in all I'm very impressed, i've had the mascara over 3 months as I say and there's still plenty left and it hasnt gone at all gloopy which often happens if you buy cheaper makes so i'm glad I shelled out for Bourjois.
Thanks for reading x
I love having big lashes and really accentuating my eyes so I will always try new mascaras and eye products as its the one feature I like about myself so want to make the most of them. I tried this mascara a while ago when it was new on the market because I saw it advertsied and it said it gave the illusion of false eyelashes without the glue or mess and fiddly around. This mascara cost me around £9.00 which is about average for a mascara these days.
When you get it there are two brushes either end of the mascara. One is a white brush which has a much thinnner brush and is like a white paint almost, the other is the mascara.
You apply the white end first which is upposed to extend lashes and make them look fuller before applying the mascara. It definately makes them look longer when you apply the white part first (not sure how it does it). I then applied the mascara afterwards and when you pull the brush out it looks as though there is not much mascara on there but there is and you just apply it over the white part and it looks fantastic. I was so impressed with this mascara and have not stopped using it since. My lashes look false like it claims and look much fuller and really stand out, many people have asked which mascara I use. I would definately definately recommend this mascara because it so good and lasts all day. It is easily removed with hot water or your usualmake up remover.
There are a few things I refuse to leave the house without, mobile phone, keys, iPod and Mascara. Not being a huge fan of plastering myself in make-up I do have a few bits and pieces that I use every day. Touché Éclat to ensure that I am not mistaken for Uncle Fester on the bus to work, my bronzing pearls to add some colour to my pale complexion, my BeneFit eye bright pencil to give my eyes that wide awake look and finally my Mascara, the best thing about having long eye lashes is that you can use them to your advantage constantly and flutter them to generally get your own way - well it works for me.
When it comes to buying mascara, the market is awash with numerous different types of mascara which come in a plethora of colours. Some mascara's promise to extend your lashes; make them appear fuller and thicker and some promise not to make your eyelashes clumpy and fake. Now I have tried cheap mascara, medium priced mascara and over the top extortionate mascara thinking in this case you might actually get what you pay for and the one I settled on was Bourjois Coup de Theatre Mascara currently retails at £8.95 in Boots.
Bourjois Coup de Theatre Mascara promises that you get will the illusion of false eyelashes...without the fuss and it will do this in two simple steps. Looking at this mascara it is a double ended black and white tube, with one end being black and the other a pearly white colour. The white end representing Step one and the black end representing Step Two.
So with Step one within the tube which you twist to release the mascara brush which is shaped like any other, you will find a white cream similar in texture to mascara and what this cream does is attach itself to your eyelashes as you brush them from the bottom of the eye lashes right to the tip to make them visibly longer in length and the one thing you will notice is that your eyelashes do look much longer and there is no trace of the cream left behind. The brush is designed with smaller bristles than the brush at the other end of the tube but it does'nt make any difference to the effect that is created.
Once you have completed this stage and are happy with the outcome and the cream has dried slighty you can now move onto step two.
Taking hold of the black end of the tube you can start to apply the mascara. Once again you need to twist the mascara casing to open and use the brush. At a first glance there doesn't appear to be a lot of mascara cream on the brush and you ay be tempted to stick the brush back into he tube to add more, but I can promise you there is plenty already upon the brush to cover both sets of lashes on both eyes. Then by mimicking the actions you previously used to coat your lashes ensuring the brush is use right to the tip of the eye lashes you will notice that very quickly your eye lashes become coated and due to the tapered shape of the brush it is really easy to coat those eye lashes right in the corner of your eye.
You can add several layers of mascara if you want to build up the extra thick eye lash look that some people crave and whether you have added one coat or three coats there is no clumpy looking mess left clinging to your eye lashes.
For me this mascara is suitable for every occasion, as I have previously said it is very rare that I leave the house without wearing mascara and I don't always use the lengthening cream. This mascara works perfectly well on it's own but it doesn't really create the same effect which makes you look alert and your eyelashes much longer for fluttering them. It works even better if you own a good pair of eye lash curlers too.
I think for the £8.95 I paid for this product I got the ultimate bargain especially having tried and tested many others. With Bourjois Coup de Theatre Mascara you not only get what you have paid for but this mascara also gives you the results it has promised on the packaging. The last mascara to come to these results was made by Clinique and cost £15 and with that my lashes didn't look longer or feel longer. Bourjois Coup de Theatre mascara when applied lasts all day, I have never found the need to have to re-apply it half way through the day like I have done with a lot of other mascaras that I have tried and tested. If I have been at work all day and am going out in the evening then I might re-apply to add a little more wow factor to my eyes as I tend to wear that little more make-up especially around my eyes.
Mascara usually has a short shelf life of around 3 months before it begins to go dry and clumpy in the tube. Coup De Theatre however will last right until the tube is empty without clumping at all and it is as good using it for the very last time from the tube as the very first. So again it is worth paying that little bit extra.
When it comes to removing this mascara I have had no problems at all. To remove you can use water and it will come off your lashes or you can use make-up remover or whatever you would normally use to remove your make-up.
As someone who wears contact lenses or glasses when my eyes are tired, I need a mascara which is sensitive to that and Coup De Theatre has been especially tested under ophthalmologic control to ensure it is good to use on the eye lashes of people like me who wear both contact lenses and glasses without causing irritation or drying out the eye.
I would recommend this mascara to everyone who is looking for mascara that will not only lasts much longer than any others you are likely to try but because it is promises to lengthen your lashes and create the illusion of wearing ones which are false. This mascara is available in brown, blue and black currently and they all retail for the same price. This is the only mascara I intend to use from now on because I have finally found a product to give me the look I want.
This is, without a shadow of a doubt, THE best mascara on the market right now. Its been around for about three years, and Ive tried pretty much every mascara going, and I can safely say that it doesnt get any better than this! It costs around £9 and is available from Boots, Superdrug, some chemists and many online retaillers. The mascara comes in a double ended black and white tube. The side is white and the other is black. The white end contains a white thick cream that you brush onto lashes to build length and volume. The cream contains tiny little fibres that attach themselves to your eyelashes and lengthen them. Once you've made your lashes as thick and long as you like, you start to apply the mascara from the other side of the tube. The mascara comes in brown, blue and black. You can add several layers of this mascara and it is reluctant to become clumpy on your lashes as the big round brush allows the mascara to coat every lash evenly and quickly. The brish has a tapered end you that you can get right into the inner corners of your eyes with easy. I often use the mascara without using the white section, especially for day wear, as it adds length and volume subtly and makes you look wide awake and alert. The white cream is great for a dramatic night time look or if your eyelashes are very short or very fine. £9 might seem expensive to some, but Ive tested mascaras rhat have been cheaper than this, such as Rimmel, mascaras that are the same price, such as Lash Architect by L'oreal, and mascaras that are much more expensive - such as Falsh Lash mascara by YLS which set me backa hefty £17. None of the other mascaras Ive used have come close to the quality of this. It stays fresh in the tube longer than other amscaras too. Mascara only has a short shelf life (about 2 months) before it begins to go dry and clumpy in the tube, Coup De Theatre will last right until the tube is empty without clumping at all. The
mascara comes off easily with any makeup remover or just water if you have very sensitive skin. I am not sure if the product is suitable for contact lens wearers but I would think that it is because it has a waxy texture rather than drying completely solid on your lashes, so it doesnt flake. It has a pleasant yet slightly chemical smell to it, which does not affect my opinion of the product either way. Over two years Ive used three tubes of this mascara, so despite that fact that the barrel containing the mascara is smaller than standard ones, it still lasts better than other mascaras. Id recommend this product to everybody as its very versatile and can do different things depending on how you use the rush. Its great to experiment with and is a good investment for your lashes! Thanks for reading! Nat :o)
Having to spend hours a week in a make up chair when I?m working means that I am loathe to spend too much time applying my own make on my days off and evenings out. Over the years I have picked up a few tips about which cosmetic products work best from the professionals who have applied my make up for film, television and photo shoots. However, I am happy to say I discovered Coup de Theatre mascara by Bourjois all by myself whilst browsing in Boots Chemist. Being an actress you might think that I was attracted by the theatrical name, not true. I was drawn to this mascara simply by the claim that this product would make my lashes physically longer. The product didn?t say that it would make my lashes look longer it actually claimed that it would physically extend the length of my lashes. I have to say I got terribly excited and rushed to the till to purchase this magical mascara. You might wonder what kind of a sad life does this woman have since she goes into ecstasy at the mere prospect of lengthening her eyelashes. I might point out that my life is not sad at all, however, I will admit to indulging in a spot of vanity every now and again. Vanity is probably my only vice and not a bad vice to choose given the other options. Being vain is entirely self centred and harms no one else, in fact, a lot of people depend on vanity to earn a living, especially those employed in the health and beauty industries. Anyway back to Burjois? Magical Mascara. I couldn?t wait to try out this wonder worker when I got home. I ran upstairs to my bathroom threw the Boots bag in the bin, saving the receipt (tax deductible for us thesps you know) and ran straight into my first and only problem. I couldn?t get the bloody plastic off the mascara. I have long nails but the plastic wrapping is fiddly and difficult to remove. You might think that it was my excitement that caused the problem but I know its not since I had the same problem when I tried to open my second purchase o
f the product. My husband came to the rescue in that instance winning with brute force where delicate manipulation failed. This is probably a good point to explain how this mascara works. The product is tube like, as with most mascara, this one differs however in that it opens at both ends. One end is white and contains what I understand to be a silicon product. This is the real miracle worker. To all intents and purposes it is like white mascara except, and this is the good bit, instead of coating your existing lashes with it you apply it to the tips and it magically adds length to each lash in the form of white silicon. This white end of the tube is inscribed ?I lengthen my lashes to infinity? in rather pretty script and three languages. Herein lies the only negative side to the product you could I believe lengthen your lashes to infinity and sometimes it is difficult to know when to stop. The other end is black and inscribed ?I dress my lashes divinely?. Which I think is a perfect description since once coated in this regular mascara your lashes do look god given and simply divine. I have found the product incredibly easy to use and now that I have got over the initial joy of having long lashes I add only a little silicon for daytime saving the extra long look for evening. Occasionally one eyelash may extend a little longer than the others may but this is easily rectified by simply removing the excessive extension. In fact this mascara, including the extensions, comes off a lot easier than any other mascara I have ever used. Sometimes if I am in a rush I simply use the black end as normal mascara without the extensions. However I must stress that applying this product is not tedious or time consuming it takes no longer than applying two coats of mascara. Believe me I don?t have the patience or the inclination to spend more than five minutes applying all of my make up?..maybe I?m not vain at all
I was walking through town one day on a mission? to find the best mascara there is. As most of us ladies should know we are supposed to throw away our mascara?s if they are three months old or more. Anyway. I was sick of cheep mascaras that kept flaking off my lashes, or made me look like an extra in a horror movie after it had been raining. No I was out to find the best one there is. And seeing as I have short and stubby lashes a lengthening one is best of me. ~~~Appearance~~~ This is truly a sexy mascara for truly sexy lashes. It is ultra long because it has two wands ( you will read why in the next section). And is ultra curvy. I recon it must have been designed with the 60?s era in mind. Because the product is black and white in colour. ~~~~The mascara~~~ This is a bit different to your average mascara. First of all you?ll notice it a bit longer than all the others, And secondly it has two ?wands?. This is because they separate the lengthening formula from the actual colour. Just to make it a bit different I suppose. But each of these are 6ml, so not that generous amounts but if they added anymore the stick would be massive. Bourjois were the first company to make a mascara in this way. Act one ? I lengthen my lashes to infinity? You apply the white ended wand to your eyelashes first. This contains the actual lengthening and thickening formula. Not only is the handle white but the solution as well. As you swipe it through your lashes you can actually see before your eyes your lashes growing in length ( even more so if you apply it in front of a magnifying mirror) But don?t ask me how it works. It really makes a difference. Apparently it contains cero fibular complex consisting of wax nylon fibres and silica fibres. Act two ?I dress my lashes divinely? Then you apply the black colour to finish it off, for a more dramatic effect, and also to cover up the whiteness from the other end. This contains Pro vi
tamin B5, and is highly pigmented. ~~~Results~~~ What you are left with are stunningly thick long luscious lashes. They are very noticeable and whenever I wear it I get comments on what lovely lashes I have, and my female friends always ask me what mascara I use. The only thing is you have to apply it really carefully to stop it going clumpy. It does what it says on the pack, which in itself is a miracle as not many beauty products achieve that. After wearing it for a few hours the results are still visible, and thank god does not flake around the eyes, which I find most mascaras do. But it will come off if you rub it. (I have a tendency to rub my eyes if I?m tired and if I?m wearing this I look like a panda afterwards). So therefore it?s easy to remove with make up remover, and you don?t have to stand there for ages scrubbing away till your eyes are red raw. Although the product isn?t waterproof, it will not stream down your face in the chance you are caught in a rainstorm. ~~~Advert~~~ just if you?re interested in the advert side of things. They don?t show this advert anymore, maybe because it has been out for a while. The advert was one of the factors that made me buy it It shows a model dressed up in sixties gear, to match the style of the mascara, applying the make up to her lashes as she does there is a voice saying in the background ?come one, stretch, higher, higher, work that stretching?. And then at the end where its showing the product the slogan is ?the stretching program for eyelashes?. It is a bit different to other makeup adds and I suppose that is why it caught my eye. You can buy this from nearly all make up suppliers, but it is a little pricey at £8.95. But it my opinion it is totally worth it. And if you shop at boots they often do offers on boujuors products, so its handy to shop there if you have an advantage card.
Ah yes, Goldilox is talking about make-up once again! I am not a specialist but I love make-up and playing around with new looks. That?s why I thought Bourjois Coup de Theatre Mascara was the next mascara for me? even at a price of £8.50! So now I will let you in on the secret of long lashes! The mascara has two ends. One side is full of white mascara the other is full of black mascara. The art to obtaining long lashes is to coat your eyelashes with the white mascara and then let it dry. You will probably look a little odd at this point, after all white eyelashes do look a little odd. Make sure it has dried completely! Once the white mascara has done so, you can now apply the black mascara over the top. I normally apply two coats of black to make sure the white is completely covered and then? voila you should now have lovely, beautiful long lashes! I really find that this mascara works if you apply it properly making sure you let the first, white coat dry properly and my lashes definitely look longer and more dramatic than they previously did! (Especially with the aid of an eyelash curler too!) The two mascara compartments are 6ml each and each one measures 6 cm long so the mascara is of good size. One half of the mascara is a silvery pink colour and the other half is just black. In the middle ?Coup de theatre? mascara is written and then it has ?Bourjois, Paris?. On the silver side ?Act one ? I lengthen my lashes to infinity? is written, whereas on the black side it says ?Act two ? I dress my lashes divinely?. So there you go? pretty easy to spot on a shop shelf! The two different brushes. ¤ The white mascara section has a fine and long brush (2,5 cm), with very short hairs laid out in spiral all around the brush. ¤ The black mascara section has a brush a little bit shorter (2,3 cm) and the hairs longer and are packed, them also laid out in spiral around the brush. Their go
al? ¤ the white mascara will settle on the brush, and once applied to your lashes, will give them a thicker aspect, longer, more full look. ¤ the black mascara "black diva" (for me, in any case) - settles in complement with the white mascara to lengthen your lashes, define and to give you the impression of false lashes. My lashes are not that much thicker, they are just lengthened and separated very well, I believe that I have the required goal! The colour is intense and deep so I am rather satisfied! It lasts all the day without running and I?ve never been left with that smudged, ?old? make-up loo As regards the price it costs around £8.50 as stated earlier. I brought mine at Superdrug but I?ve seen it in boots and other department stores as well! On the whole I am very pleased with this product and will definitely buy another one when mine has run out because it has been successful for me and looks better than other mascaras I have used!
Ok, so I bought this product after it being advertised EVERYWHERE! The concept of it seemed like it would work. In theory only. I found that the mascara didn't do a better job than say an averagely priced normal mascara, and that in fact, the normal part of this mascara worked just as well without the white stuff added! I found that it clogged up my eyelashes, and that my max facter mascara did the job a lot better, at the same price!
