~ BOURJOIS EAU DE GLOSS ~

With so many lip glosses on the market, how do we choose? There are an abundance of glosses, shimmers, sparkling and fragranced lip glosses out there, that we are absolutely spoilt for choice. Some are fantastic with extreme mirror shine, whilst others are just non performers and downright unremarkable. I own, and have bought many in my search for the ideal lip gloss. One of my very favourites is a lip gloss I bought a couple of weeks ago and It is from one of my favourite make-up ranges, Bourjois.

Bourjois Paris is a range of make-up which started its life as a stage make up. Stage make up tended to be very heavy, thick and greasy in the 1900's and French perfumier Alexandre Napoleon Bourjois wanted to create a make-up range that was lighter and which would allow the skin to breathe. His famous little rouge pots with the dinky blush brush have been around since the 19th century and are still very much in demand today. Bourjois cosmetics are of a superior quality and extremely desirable when pitted against some of the bland British design and composition of make-ups available today.-

~ BOURJOIS ~

I love the container of this lip gloss. The design of the Bourjois containers is a strong selling point with me. It isn't just about the make-up; it is also about the appearance of the casing. Our ritual of applying our make-up is a pleasurable experience and we want our products to be attractive and nice to the touch, also to look good amongst the other items in our make-up bags and with Bourjois this is just what we get. Their products are high in design, well made, funky and expensive looking.


~ EAU DE GLOSS ~

This particular lip gloss is great! The main reasons I really love this one is for the fact that it is non sticky and high shine. It advertises that this is because it is made with 14% water and will not stick to the hair which is good. I hate that when it happens. Eau de Gloss is moisturising and transparent and this 'Eau' (water) gloss is high shine and has the most gorgeous fragrance to it. The casing of the lip gloss is clear Perspex, with a long, slim lid topped with a ball shape 4 and a half inches in height and 7ml 0.2 fl oz in weight. It has the appearance of a phial and looks a little medical in its shape. You can see the shade of the gloss through the top half of the phial and in this instance, it is shocking pink and the Bourjois label takes up the remainder of the container. It is pink and white in colouring and shows water bubbles rising to the surface of the water picture. The container feels nice in the hand and is very attractive in style.-


~ BOURJOIS EAU DE GLOSS ~

The unscrew top of the lip gloss opens to display a long, clear plastic wand, finished off with a short precision brush. This grabs an adequate amount of the lip gloss which glides really easily over the lips when stroked on. This isn't at all a sticky gloss and with the addition of the water it feels lovely upon the lips. Very light and with a cool feeling when it is applied; the result is a beautiful high wet-look, mirror-shine, see-thru gloss. The fragrance of Eau de Gloss is also divine. It has a beautiful perfume which smells of fresh fruit. It's lovely without being too sweet. A perfect gloss really. -


~ SUMMARY ~

I loved this one. I liked it for the fact that not only is it an impressive lip shine but also it is completely moisturising and delivers moisture for 4 hours. The smell is absolutely wonderful and I noticed that this gloss contains sugar though I am not too sure what that does. Another good thing is your hair won't stick to your lips with Eau de gloss. It is shiny but non tacky which is great. I hate the gloopy, thick feel that you get with some glosses and they just kind of sit upon the lips. Eau de Gloss has a brilliant wet shine but it also feels very light and blends into the lips. It looks lovely when on and lasts quite well when upon the lips, about the same as most other lip glosses. It cost between £7-50-£8.00 from boots I can't quite remember exactly how much it was now, but between those two prices. It isn't cheap I feel but then I love their products so I don't really think about the prices too much. A fantastic lip gloss that is innovative and non-sticky. -
