One of the things I dislike most when it comes to the female race and wearing make up, is what seems to be a large inability to apply lipstick properly and in a way that actually looks pretty good - the amount of people I see which wonky, half done lipstick is shocking and let me tell you, it isn't a nice look to say the least. So, because of this I tend to take extra care when applying my lipstick, mostly to ensure people don't think horrible things about my lips and obviously because I want it to look nice! However getting my lipstick perfect can be a little time consuming, especially in the mornings whilst getting ready if I'm half asleep/hungover - I'm sure you can appreciate this isn't necessarily something I feel like doing! With the summer months approaching (not that you could tell at the moment) it seemed like the perfect time to reach to the bottom of my make up bag to find this beauty which I bought about a year ago when I was a bit more into lipgloss than lipstick. It seemed like a good idea to wear as an alternative to lipstick as with a few dibs and dabs it looks in tact and ready to go, who knew it could be so easy?! I had used this for some time when I first purchased it a while back, but like a child with an old toy I will admit I got a little bored and moved onto the next cosmetic product, however in my defence I will say I have continued to use it more recently and so our love has rekindled, if you like! When I first purchased it I don't think it had long been released and I recall buying it on some sort of promotional offer from my local Boots for what I think was around £4, so a bargain in comparison to the current retail price of £6.99 (putting 24 points onto your advantage card if you have one!) Other stockists include Superdrug, as well as a variety of cosmetic websites. I purchased a light pink sparkley shade but there is literally one for every skin tone and preference which include: Beige Elastic Rose Romantic Rose Academic Rose Polemic Rose Hypothetic Democratic Brun Poetic Rose Lyric There are also a variety of other shades available but I think that covers the basis of shades. So, it comes in a pretty tube and for the money you will receive 5g of product. The tube is transparent, enabling you to see how much product remains inside so you can stock up before running out! The applicator wand doesn't had the resemblance of a sponge like others I have used in the past and it is more like a tiny brush with separate bristles, allowing for really simple and easy application. It is quite thick in consistency with no perfumed scent, or taste particularly. Bourjois claim that it is a 3D effect lipgloss, with a formula 'enriched with micro crystalline wax for a deep, voluminous and ultra-shiny result'. I recall this being one of the things that attracted me to this product as unfortunately I don't boast the amazing, full lips of Angelina Jolie on any level and so a lipgloss that would make my lips appear bigger seemed like magic. Having pretty much forgetting how this lipgloss worked on a previous use, I started afresh and applied it like I had never used it before. I initially noticed, as mentioned briefly earlier, the ease of the applicator as it is so flexible it allows for precision but at the same time it couldn't be quicker and more convenient which is great for a quick mid day fix after lunch. I did notice the thickness of the gloss which I think must affect the plumpness of the lips in some way as it did make my lips appear a little fuller and thicker than normal, which without paying the price for cosmetic surgery cannot be moaned at really! It felt wet on my lips as appose to sticky like other lipglosses but as expected, once outside in the wind my hair did stick to it a little. The only major downside for me was the fact that it doesn't stay put for very long. After a drink and a snack the lipgloss had pretty much been removed from my lips but they had been left with traces of glitter so I looked like I had been a clown at a 5 year olds birthday party which isn't quite what I was hoping for. The initial shine soon fades and it doesn't have anywhere near the durability of the lipstick I am used to, however when considering the wetness of the product when compared with my matte lipstick I suppose this lack of durability is to be expected to an extent. All in all, I think it would be unfair not to recommend this lipgloss. Its easy to apply, looks great, shiny and makes your lips look full and ready to face the day. However if you're super busy and don't have time to reapply regularly throughout the day then you will be disappointed as that is what it requires, but in saying that I do think its worth it if you have the time as it does create a lovely look effortlessly, either for a day look or a night out - you can't really go wrong with it especially considering the variety of shades that are available. Due to it being necessary to reapply quite a lot, subsequently this uses up the lipgloss quicker than it would with a lipstick, however at such a fair price I don't think it can really be moaned at overall. A great fix for shiny, glossy lips.
This lipgloss was first introduced to me by a colleague when I worked into a hairdressers as a Saturday girl when I was about 14/15. It has a very smooth consistency, not too sticky so that it irritates you if you catch it on something, but not so watery that it doesn't last very long, it lasts quite a reasonable amount of time, and really is ideal for going out to parties or out on a night out in town. It's quite pricey for the amount you get, but it is also good value for money, as the Bourjois make-up range is quite expensive anyway. It comes in a handy sized tube, which should fit into any handbag, even smaller ones, and there are also even Bourjois 'mini' versions available which you can pop into your pocket or purse with ease, which is even handier if you are going out on a night out and want something smaller so it doesn't take up all of your handbag space. All in all I would definitely recommend this product to all girly girls who want a nice lipgloss to wear on a night out, and who want it to be convenient enough to fit into your purse!
I am a bit of a make up addict and so will try pretty much any piece of make up! This was on the end of a clearance rack in Boots reduced from around £6.99 down to £1.37 and with me never wanting to down an offer like that I decided to pick it up and try it out. The only colour that they had there was this real candy pink, slightly pale barbie pink colour. It was a nice and pleasant colour, so I had no reason to complain about that. I know that they also sell them in other colours such as clear, glitter, dark pink, light pink and red. They are purchasable in Superdrug, Boots and Boots online. The lipgloss itself came with a very large wand which allowed for easy use. It also had a 'brush' end rather than a fixed shape like others. The brush made it very easy to apply, allowing you to simply sweep it from side to side over the lips. The gloss itself does not feel sticky or gloopy like others I have tried and you actually only need a very light coverage in order for it to be seen. The colours are quite vivid and bold, though was a little bit lighter than that I saw in the tube. The colour did come out quite subtle, which means that once on it suited my skin much better than I had originally thought it had. The lipgloss was also very shiny, so if you don't like the 'glossy' lips look, then I wouldn't reccomend this one for use as it does have this very hi-shine look. When first applied it also has this slight tingle to it, though it is not a lip plumping gloss, so I am not sure what it is. This lipgloss lasts around an hour or 2 once on and I find this a very decent amount of time before needing to reapply. This is something that I'd reccomend, especially if you can get it at the price I did!
I think this is another 'best' lip gloss as it is a huge favorite of mine. This gloss contains 7.5 ml of lip gloss and it comes in a huge range of colors such as red, pink, peach, coral, purple, mint, clear and they even have sparkly ones especially with the pink ones and they both have different shades too so you can either have dark pink sparkly or pale pink sparkly, I think they're both pretty but the choice is yours or if you have money, then you could have both then! They are quite expensive around seven pounds, but I do believe that they were worth buying and they do give your lips a nice color and give you that 3D look, so there's no more surgery or pain of plumping lip glosses! Which is pretty amazing. So good price and no pain! However these can be sold as phone charms but they are not as good though as the 7.5 ml ones, cause they have a lot longer, but mini ones are excellent if you want a lip gloss with you at all times, but that's only if you have your phone on at all times. These glosses can be found in most places such as Superdrug and Boots however you can occasionally find these in market stalls and they only cost about two pounds, so you save about four or five pounds more. Yes, this is a lip gloss for all girls to carry in their handbags or make-up bags, perfect for any girls lips.
Bourjois 3D effet lipgloss is a lipgloss which contains micro crystalline wax which is designed to give shiny voluminous lips. The 3D range comes a variety of shades varying from nudes to darker colours. My favourites are the lighter pink ones. The bottles are a nice shape and you can see into them so you can see the colour without having to check a little sticker on the bottom like you do with some other glosses and lipsticks. The lipgloss costs £6.99 from high street stores. So what I think...... I do quite like this lipgloss especially the flavour it reminds me of refreshers I am not sure if they all taste like this or just the lighter one I own. The lipgloss goes on smoothly the brush is thin and makes applying the gloss easy. The gloss makes my lips look shiny and I don't find it to be to sticky like some glosses can be I can rub my lips together when wearing it and they tend to glide rather than sick together. I like this gloss and would recommend it to others its got a great flavour and makes lips look great for a night out.
I love this lip gloss! I have loads of different colours and it is defiantly my favourite lip gloss I have ever used! There are many different colours from clear to bright pinks and nudes! There is a colour or two for everyone! I love the light pinks as they reflect really well! But another of my favourite is the clear menthol one which looks blue but is in fact clear and makes your lips tingle and feel great! The colours are easy to see as the lip gloss tubes are transparent so you can see exactly what you are buying also on the tip of the lid it shows you the colour and the name of the lip gloss you have chosen! I am always put off by not being able to see the product it always makes me think twice as I like to see exactly what I am buying! The lip gloss is really easy to apply and non messy, the tip of the gloss is a brush so it makes application easy and non painful if you have cracked lips like myself! The lip gloss is also non sticky so your lips do not stick together and look silly when you talk! As this is so embarrassing! The lip gloss is made from natural products which also helps moistures your lips as well as making them look fantastic! Bourjois lip gloss lasts too and does not wear off easily, however if you do drink it can come off on the glass as well as if you kiss someone too! But this is typical with any lip gloss so it is not bad really! As well as lasting and acting as a moisturiser its 3D effect is amazing your lips look full and very glossy! The light really reflects off this gloss so it will grab people's attention. It really compliments make up and your complexion! You will love this lip gloss as I do!
This was another "gift" I got from my mom, which means some one bought it her and she never wears lipgloss so she gave it to me, not that Im complaining if it adds more products to my ever growing make-up collection. Anyway Ive tried some of the other Bourjois lipglosses in the past (The Nudes Collection) and I really liked the results it yielded and the range of colours so I was chuffed to get to try this new one out. I personally own the shade Beige Elastic and Im very happy with that one because of a very simple reason. I wear a lot of eye make-up on a daily basis so I liek to leave ym lips looking natural and that is exactly the look this lipgloss gave me. I think this lipgloss comes in around another 6-7 shades ranging from light pinks to browns so there is something for everybody in this range no matter what colour you like. Useful Information: Makers: Bourjois Price: Around £6 Stockists: Superdrug, Boots Etc Application: Now the applicator for this lipgloss is a little different because rather than it being a sponge its actually a tiny brush which makes the application process a hell of a lot easier I reckon. I will say that a little goes a long way with this lipgloss because its quite thick and if you apply to much it may become even stickier. Having said that the colour goes on really well and because of the brush you can perfect a cupids bow without spending ages on your make up. The Look: This lipgloss actually has little tiny flecks of glitter in it which tend to transfer onto your face if you dont apply it properly which is quite annoying. After I applied it I was actually quite happy with the results the gloss had given my lips a full colour and pumped my lips up a little bit as well. At this point I was really happy but a few hours later I realised my happiness would be short lived. Some Hours Later: I had gone out for the day after applying this gloss and apparantly that was my first mistake. On that particular day it was pretty windy and my hair was blowing about everywhere, and getting totally stuck to my lips. It is incredibly annoying to keep having to pull strands of hair off your lips. This stuff is like glue for your hair! Also when I got to my friends house and looked in the mirror the glitter was all over my face even though I had tried so hard not to smudge it at all while I was out. No matter how great the results were straight away they went proper down hill in a very short amount of time and needless to say I had to scrub it off my face when I got to my friends house! Overall Opinion: Since that very first time I wore this it has been gathering dust in my make-up case ever since and I doubt Ill be using it again. I would never consider recommending that anyone pays £6 for this because I doubt Id have it again if Bourjois were giving it away for free. The immediate results are very good but they dont last at all! I dont recommend to anyone. Thanks For Reading x0 Salz 0x
Imagine the scene; two lovers meet at the train station, him looking sexy in his work clothes, her in a beautiful dress, perfect make up and gorgeous, kissable lips. They fall in love instantly and forever. Okay, it's a bit of a fairytale, but in about 4ish weeks, I'm going up North to see my boyfriend and going for a mini break, so I want amazing make-up so I can look my best all the time, one problem. No lipgloss. So after forever looking, I found Bourjois Lip Gloss. I'd never tried any Bourjois products before, because I'm fairly loyal to Maybelline and Rimmel, but Bourjois Lip Gloss really stood out to me, because the product looked really designer and much more expensive then it actually was. At my local Express Boots, they only had two shades of this product, but from what I've heard there are much more shades, to suit everyone's tastes and skin tones. I personally picked a fairly pink one, which a tint of sparkle, so it suited my pale skin and also fairly subtle, so I could wear it to work and college but also dates and nights out. The application of the lipgloss was really easy, instead of a wand, there's a brush, which I thought would be a lot hard to get an even cover of gloss, but made it much easier and so much smoother then the wand type lipglosses. So top marks so far. The actual lipgloss looked really good against my skin tone, made my lips looked really plump (which is unusual as I don't have naturally sexy, plump lips like Angelina Jolie) and my lips looked really pretty, with the slight sparkle giving them a more glamorous look to them. Also Bourjois Lip Gloss didn't seem to look to 'over done', which lip glosses seem to do to my lips, so I could easily wear this to work, without looking abit too made up. Also a fair few people have actually commented on my lips saying they look 'plump' and 'sexy', so seems to look good. I have to mention the taste as well, it tastes very candy and sweet like, which is very pleasant, which hopefully the Boyfriend will like! Bourjois Lip Gloss is sold in most pharmacists for around £6-10. I would advise going to a big store like Boots and Superdrug as they will have the full range of colours and shades in this range.
I am a huge fan of bourjois makeup, so when I spotted a basket full of reduced makeup items in Tesco I was very happy to find lots of Bourjois lip-gloss in the mix! All items had been reduced to just £1.50 with a further offer that if you bought 3 items the cheapest would be free! That made each lip gloss just £1! Bourjois 3D lip-gloss is available in 6 different colours and Boots are currently selling it for £6.84,so my £1 price was a real bargain! There were only a few colours available in Tesco and I chose 3 Rose Symphonic shades. This is a lovely pale pink. A friend choose a much darker shade but when applied the colour was much lighter than it looked in the tube. On opening the screw top tube I was intrigued to find a brush applicator instead of the usual sponge you get with most lip-gloss. I have to say I really like the brush as I find it easier to apply accurately. The lip -gloss feels quite thick but it goes on well. The colour is lovely, really glossy with a pearlised effect. Most lip-gloss doesn't last for long and needs reapplying often. I have been impressed with how long this one stays on my lips. It won't last all day however, but is better than other brands I have used. Even when the colour has faded my lips still retain some gloss, so full makes here! Overall I would recommend this lip-gloss, especially if you can find it at the bargain price I paid in Tesco!
I first discovered and fell in love with the Effet 3D high shine lip gloss by Bourjois Paris in the shade 'Rose Emblematic' for about $15-$20 from Sephora. The shade was a shimmery pink colour that looked gorgeous in the bottle but quite subtle on the lips, so I had to apply a lot to see a bolder colour. However, the shade was very flattering on my skin tone whether I am pale or back from vacation, and I liked this versatility. I was addicted to the glossy, light reflecting pigments in the gloss and the beautiful rosy flush it gave to my lips. The application of the gloss is a breeze, because the applicator is a lip brush that glides smoothly over the lips for flawless application every time. The gloss is very shiny and super smooth, so it isn't goopy or unpleasantly sticky at all. I loved the texture of the gloss and how smooth it felt on my lips. I also prefer to use this product after applying a nude or light pink lip liner first, as it can stray outside of the natural lip lines. Another great benefit is the moisturizing oils in the product that keep lips supple and smooth. I always felt like i was treating my lips every time i applied this gloss and it has always been a favorite of mine. The gloss is very shiny and flattering, however, it doesn't last very long and has to be re-applied repeatedly throughout the day. Other than the lasting power of the gloss, the product is quite shiny and an overall great gloss. The bottle does last a long time, as I have owned the product for over a year ago and it still isn't finished(but i tried to save it because it was my favorite). Overall great gloss, for shine and colour, but not the best for lasting time, but this is one gloss you won't mind re-applying. The various shades of the glosses range from sheer and shimmery to bold and dazzling, and most colours are very flattering on any skin tone. Shades: Beige elastic Brun galactic Rose Idyllic Rose emblematic Rose angelic Rose arctic Beige theoric Transparent oniric Rose symphonic Blanc prismatic Framboise Magnific Rose Bahamas Cassis Tropical Rouge Sunset Rose Charismatic Brun Delicat Rose Doux Ambre
I bought this product on a bit of a whim, but was surprised how good it was. The pot looks really nice and stylish in your make-up bag and it is really easy to open. It comes in a range of colours, and most people can manage to find a shade to suit them. The brush is quite fine, which makes it excellent for applying the gloss, unlike some other glosses I have tried where the brush is really thick so it is difficult to apply on the thinner parts of the lip. The gloss itself is quite thick, and has a slightly sticky texture on the lips, but is not horrible like some glosses. It actually tastes quite nice! It looks really great on, and gives your lips a brilliant shine, without being too over the top. The shade I picked actually looked quite natural and a few people commented on how nice it looked. I believe it is priced at around £6-7 which I think is definitely worth it, I would definitely recommend it!
I got a couple of these Bourjois lip glosses from Boots and Superdrug for around about 5 or 6 quid. I bought the ones in pale baby pink and light golden bronzy colour. I like their colours and the pretty frosted finish and high shine. These come in a clear tube where you can see the gloss through and have a gold coloured screw on top with a dot of the gloss colour on the tip. There's a little brush applicator attached to the screw on top, which I don't find too bad and spreads the gloss out nicely. I like how this gloss applies, it goes on smoothly and you can either have a very light and sheer colour application with a light glossy effect or you can pile it on for a more intense and shinier look. These glosses look great on their own or over lip gloss to add more depth and dimension to your look, either way, they're great! I don't find them too sticky or heavy feeling either, which is good and there are about 8 (maybe more, not sure now) colours to choose from. There's also a clear one you can wear over any lippy or on its own to give a very shiny effect to the lips.
A friend recommended this lipgloss to me, so I thought I'd try it! I stuck with the "safe" option and just got a clear gloss to begin with, but have since bought several other shades, and I don't leave the house without it! The lipgloss is in a very chic little tube, with a brush applicator, which makes application easy! There are a variety of colours available to suit different complexions. Some colours are more natural for a "barely there" look, and some are more glamorous and glittery for those girly nights out! It is easy to apply, and looks great! The texture is slightly sticky, but it stays on for hours. Once it has worn off, after at least 4-5 hours, it leaves your lips feeling soft and moisturised. Bourjois products are generally widely available in places like Boots, Superdrug, etc. Although a little on the pricey side compared to others, at around £8, it's worth it! Overall a really great product :)
I bought this lipgloss ages ago and recently found it in a drawer and so started to use it again. I purchased it in the caramel tone and it looks quite natural when worn which is what i wanted although there are much richer brighter colours available if you wanted. The feel of it on your lips is divine as the little brush is nice and smooth and fans out for even, smooth coverage and is easy to apply. However I found it to be rather sticky. I know all lip glosses are to some extent but this one really was. For example when walking along my hair would get stuck to my lips then my hair would become greasy and it was just extremely sticky. The flavour was okay ish but could be improved. The packaging is a nice slimline design and is easily fitted into a handbag. I paid around £8.00 for mine and it has lasted a long time and it does make lips look luscious and fuller but is very very sticky and does leak a bit from tube so gets bit messy.
I have tried many lipglosses, but this range from Bourjois is one of my favourites. It comes in loads of fantastic colours, that actually do look different when on the lips, not like some brands that all seem to look the same! It is easy to apply with the brush, although it is a little on the sticky side, but I find that with quite a few brands, I think that is the down side of lipgloss over lipstick in general! I just do a little blot after finished applying. I like the packaging, looks really high quality and modern. It does stay on for quite a while, and is not too expensive, although not cheap either. Worth paying the money for though. All in all, I do recommend this lip gloss, mainly because of the colours, easy application, long lasting and a good brand name and not too expensive. It makes the lips look fuller and gives them a great shine. One of my favourite brands. Posted on Ciao under the name Sweetpea1075
A super-shiny, non-sticky lip gloss in sheer tones for glamorous and luscious lips / Formulated with natural oils to moisturize and soften lips / Brush tip applicator /
